More creative genius by the ever fantastic LuvDup Twins; Mark and Adrian.

They are one of the DJ and remixers who have always been on it throughout my love of dance music from the early 90's to this very day.

This is such a quality track which starts off steady, but builds in momentum to deliver a huge piano breakdown which just blows the roof.

Very typical LuvDup and very very good!

 First heard this in a Luvdup mix set.

Don't know too much about it other than it is rockin'.

I've always had a huge affinity to Luvdup and think it is great that Adrian and Mark are still going strong and still playing music which is cutting edge, yet retaining their original hedonistic and eclectic vibe.

They will always be up with in my all time fave DJs and Remixers - Legends of the scene!

About the track, very lively, very bouncy and lots of great piano.

Such a feeling!

Love this track which is new.

I heard it on a recent Luvdup mix set and was really knocked out with it.

Big respect to Adrian and Mark still one of the best DJ combo's out there.

They have been fantastic since the day dot and there musical tastes are perfectly aligned with mine.

About the track it uses the Bizarre Inc lyrics from "Such A Feeling" to great effect, delivered by a combination of lush female and male vocals. It is underpinned we a superb little groove and just has an infectious rhythm.

A definite grower which gets better with each listen.

I've always been a huge fan of Luvdup for well over 30 years and still to this day enjoy listening to their shows and mixsets which always contain some fabulous tracks and quite often tracks which are less well known, but certainly of fantastic quality.

This is one such track which was played on one of their mixsets from 2022.

It's just a top notch, throbbing, groove of dance music bliss.

Totally Luvdup in style and quality.

Just lovely.

When I first heard this, I thought what a fantastic track and had no idea who it was.

Hence, I was really shocked to find out it was a new recording from the Luvdup legends.

Adrian and Mark have always been one of my fave DJ and Remix artists.

The quality of the work they have produced over the last 30 years is truly amazing not to mention their fantastic DJ sets.

I've had some of my best ever clubbing nights listening to their sets.

About the track, well it's just as good as everything and anything they've ever done, which is high praise indeed. 

It's a complete barnstorming piano avalanche of a track. Absolutely off the scale.

Love this track from 1987 a great re-working of the old Hot Chocolate classic.

I have to say that I much prefer this version, which is great and contains some superb piano and a really upbeat disco eurobeat.

I believe it was dropped by the LuvDup twins in their sets and seems very in keeping with the fantastic eclectic stuff they'd played.

We've come too far!

M-People were one of the very best club dance acts, pretty much every track was solid gold, with Heather's amazing vocal prowess and the Hac leg-end Mike Pickering behind the production, they were always right on the money.

I've posted the BiR remix of this previously which is sensational, but LuvDup remixes are always top notch and this is no different.

Possibly not quite as explosive as some of their very best, but nonetheless pretty fine with some great piano.

Phenomenal in every sense!

I first came across this track on a fabulous mix set that Adrian LuvDup played.

Not only was I blown away with the mix set and so pleased that after all these Adrian is still totally on it, but I was also entranced with this track.

Balearic in it's very essence with some superb vocals, some delightful piano and of course phenomenal hand claps.

Yet another fantastic remix by the super talented Ray Mang.

A really superb track from 2018 which will stand the test of time for many years.

Am I in heaven? I think so!

One of my favourite tracks of recent times. 

I came across it about 12 months on a LuvDup mix set (thanks Adrian - you are a ledge!), hunted it down and have played it so many many times since. 

It has everything I need; emotion, fantastic female vocals, delightful piano, lots of key changes, tempo changes and then that delightful skippy little banjo riff, in essence simply awesome.

Great remix by Ray Mang who is one of the best about nowadays!

Quite simply one of the finest tracks of recent years, no question!

It took an absolute age to track it down.
I first came across it when Luvdup dropped it when they played at Vague in 1993.
Absolutely top notch little track which was then mixed into Outrage - Tall N' Handsome.

Everyone has their favourite old DJ mix tapes.
One of my favourite ever was from a night at Vague in 1993 when the LuvDup Twins played.
It was probably one of the most eclectic sets I've heard, but also one of the most brilliant.
It totally epitomised what in my opinion the word "Balearic" truly stood for, a complete mish mash of styles, disco, mixed with funk, mixed with pop, mixed with house, mixed with cheese, mixed with handbag, mixed with all time classics, there is absolutely everything in that mix set. It is sensational.
If anyone wants to hear it, remind me to post it one day.
I've managed to track down nearly all the tracks from that set and many are posted on the blog.
This was one of the few that I hadn't tracked down and it was just typical of the set they played (although the version they played was without vocals. However, the vocals IMHO make it even better).
This was sort of track that no other DJ's would play, but so uplifting and amazing in a club like Vague, where absolutely anything goes.
Some may think it's a bit cheesy, but I think it is absolutely fantastic, just so uplifting.
It was originally released back in 1974, but this was remixed in 1987 by Joe Glasman.
A huge PCC in my book, tried and tested on the UK's finest dancefloors.

Good evening folks here comes another belter from those LuvDup chappies.
They really did produce some top notch remixes.
This one appears to be a bog standard club track and then this explosive piano kicks in and the track lifts off.
That's why all the LuvDup remixes are so good, they just had a fantastic knack of producing stuff that rocked the place. Hats off to Mark and Adrian - Great work fella's.
Did they ever produce a bad remix? Not in my mind!!
This one dates back to 1995 and is certainly one of their less known remixes, but IMHO right up there with some of their best.

Absolutely love this track - hard to belive it is nearly 30 years old.
I remember hearing the Luvdup Twins play this at Vague in Leeds back in 1993.
What a legendary club that was and a superb night.
I've got the mix tape of that night and it is one of my favourite all time DJ mix sets.
Talk about Balearic heaven, it jumps from dance, house, disco, old skool, nu skool and about every other genre of music which was rocking the dancefloors in those days. Luvdup were DJ legends.
About this track, well it's just an all time classic and funky as hell.
Really great production, with some great lyrics and those amazing funky vocals.

You know you "gotta to have it"!!

"Well I've got to have it" - it could be the opening line to many a sentence. This track for instance, as once you've heard it you'll certainly need to "have it".
This one is an absolute top notcher, very, very mellow and very balearic in style, but a track I absolutely love.
I first heard it when the Luvdup Twins played at Vague in 1993 and have loved it ever since, they mixed it into Outrage - Tall and Handsome - which then ensued to "blow the roof off"!!
After searching for it for years, a big shout goes out to Dirk for tracking it down for me, nice one fella!
Vanessa Paradis in a music sense is probably better known for "Joe Le Taxi" and of course is even better known as an uber famous model, actress and of course wife of Johnny Depp.
The track is very laid back very infectious, with some lovely vocals and some very catchy lyrics.
It's about her relationship at the time (1992) with Lenny Kravitz, if you hadn't guessed.
"But I gotta have it, watching for the damage, from New York straight to Paris, I'm talking Lenny Kravitz"

Wow, I can't think how many tracks have used this sample vocal, although it absolutely loads.
Here's just two of the tracks that have.
The Soundsource track is an old favourite from 1991 which also samples the Bassheads rap, coupled with a great (as usual) Luvdup remix. Lots of energy, so great piano and plenty of hands in the air moments.
I've also added a Loveland remix of the same track which is also very good (as usual for Loveland mixes as well).
The F&T 505 track is also pretty hot from 1992 with some really lush piano which really hits the spot.
Definitely one for the old skool me thinks.
