Superb piece of trance and the forerunner to the even better vocal version Push vs Sunscreem - Save Me which featured much of the same sounds.

This however deserves it's own post as a superb piece of upfront trance, still sounding great 25 years on.

Sunscreem and Push was a match made in heaven.

Always loved Sunscreem and they quite rightly have many tracks on the PCC blog.

They were probably one of the most consistent dance acts producing a series of quality tracks especially courtesy of great remixes to further enhance.

Followers of the PCC blog will also recognise my huge appreciation for pretty much anything K-Klass touched. They always turned good tracks into great tracks and this one is right on the money.

This one is from 1995 and Lucia's vocal sound top notch especially when combined with K-Klass's renowned piano chords.

Quality indeed!

 Great track from Sunscreem under their "Anna" guise.

This track was huge in the early 90's and caned by the likes of Sasha and Digweed.

Another that still sounds superb today and would rock any decent club dancefloor.

Let the sky fall down!

Lots of Sunscreem on the PCC blog and rightly so as they were one of the very few consistent dance acts who managed to be both underground and mainstream at the same time.

The former was usually due to some fantastic remix work and this is a classic example.

There are so many remixes of this track and many very good, but none quite touches this IMHO.

The slow intro is so luxurious and teasing and was a great set opener.

The Graeme Park remix is also superb (as always) and there are many others worthy of listen.

Great track, great band, great remixes.

One of the great things about dance music which we all loved and the industry hated, was that there were very few prominent bands, which meant the scene stayed relatively underground and influenced by the great DJ's, remixers and club promoters.

One of the few great bands who constantly produced top notch tracks during this period were Sunscreem, although often it was down to great remixes to turn them into dancefloor classics.

This is a quality track from 1992 with a great remix by Paul Gotel under his WHP pseudonym.

We've still got - Perfect Motion!!!

Now this is a rarity - a track that's been posted 3 times on the PCC blog.

All for great reasons, as each time it has been a different mix and all are superb versions and hence more than worthy of the triplicate posting.

Already on the blog are the Jimmy Gomez remix which is (like all his work) absolutely outstanding. 

Rich posted the Farley and Heller - Junior Boys Own Mix which was probably the most widely played mix in clubs and a top remix.

Here's another alternative version and one I also love, it takes you on a dream like journey encompassing lots of tempo changes and peaks, with a little bit of delightfully subtle piano thrown in for good measure. It's a really great re-working of total PCC.

It's one of those tracks that you just want to keep playing again and again over and over!

If a track gets 3 posts on the PCC blog, then you know it's good, which gives testament to Sunscreem by creating beautiful and "Perfect Motion".

Screemingly Good

This stupendous track comprises the first of several 'unreleased classics' which I aim to post in the next few weeks. Following something of a hiatus, Sunscreem resurfaced in 1997 with 'Catch', their first release on the legendary Pulse 8 label. Featuring quality remixes from luminaries such as Red Jerry, Andy Ling and Matt Darey, 'Catch' destroyed many a dancefloor in its wake. The follow-up single was to be 'Cover Me', and remixes were duly commissioned from the Trouser Enthusiasts. Unfortunately, Pulse 8 - the label that introduced the world to Rozalla, Urban Cookie Collective and Band of Gypsies - went bust prior to the commercial pressing of 'Cover Me', and the record went unreleased, as did the much sought-after album 'Out of the Woods'. An edit of the TE remix appeared on the 'Ten Mile Bank' opus, but this didn't really do justice to the sweeping, roof-raising epic nature of the full length Trouser Enthusiasts remix. This is an incredible track, combining the club savvy of Suncreem, arguably the first true dance band, with the Trouser Enthusiasts' epic sensibilities. It was a bugger to get hold of at the time, and remains one of TEs' finest-ever reworks.

Now PCC has already posted a Jimmy Gomez mix of this track, but this is the version I remember Sasha playing a lot and it is my personal favorite.

Alright, here comes another Push track - this time in a collaboration with Sunscreem.
Now I know that this track maybe in some people's eyes a bit cheesy and the lyrics are certainly naff, but I can honestly say I've always absolutely loved this track.
It's just so bloody catchy!!

Some Perfect Motion for Easter Sunday!!!

Happy Easter Sunday to all fellow dance music lovers,

here's another piece of classic, anthemic dance music courtesy of remix supremo Jimmy "The God" Gomez.

I keep hunting down more of his remixes and everyone I find is of the highest quality.

This one takes a few listens and isn't as instant as some of his others on this blog. However, after a few listens it grows on you massively and is truly anthemic.

Looking at you - Jimmy Gomez is the man!!!

Have a listen to this track , it's an absolutely fantastic piece of production.

Very, very reminiscent of Brothers in Rhythm remixes and hence why I'm raving about it so much.

I've now come across 4 Jimmy Gomez remixes and each one is an absolute anthem (and all 4 are posted on this blog).
