Delightful!

A pretty spectacular track from 2004.

Oakey sprinkles his usual magic dust.

The intro is just sublime with the piano and then the guitar, which then both kick in again mid way through.

Pure class!

Carlos Vives - Como Tu

(Paul Oakenfold More Vocal)

We had such a fine time together!

One of my all time favourite vocalists, just such a fantastic singer.

Her album "And Still I Rise" is one of my all time favourites and I spent many a Sunday chilling out to it in the 90's after a long clubbing session the night before.

Alison is of course most known for the fabulous "Where Love Lives" which although a bonafide club classic, it has been so overplayed that it has now lost some of it's original fizz.

This is a great track which fully emphasises Alison's vocal power accompanied by a great remix from the Oakey/Osborne - Perfecto duo.

We had such a fine time together!

A top notch PCC!

Alison Limerick - Come Back (For Real Love)

(Perfecto Mix)

One of the all time greatest!

One of the greatest tracks ever produced.

I remember when I was first introduced to it I just played it over and over again as I was just so blown away by it.

Donna (and Giorgio Moroder) were probably more well known for the ground breaking "I Feel Love", but as good as that was this is in my opinion was the real pièce de résistance.

The fact that the track is nearly 18 minutes long, but never at any point do you want it to finish.

It is just an epic, epic monstrous track.

A big thanks to my good friend Ed from over the pond for introducing it to me.

This one's for you Ed!

Donna Summer - MacArthur Park Suite

(Original Extended Version)

We ain't got no hope!

Another fantastic reworking of a disco classic by the highly prolific Dave Lee (aka Joey Negro).

Dave's work is always amazing, always keeping the essence of the original but just updating and tweaking things to give it a more modern feel, yet keeping enough authenticity from the original to create a new masterpiece.

He is most certainly one of the very best disco/house remixers.

This is a fabulous track with some great lyrics, great vocals and just such a fabulous disco-tastic rhythm, not to mention real instruments.

Disco music perfection.

Eddie Kendricks - Going Up In Smoke

(Dave Lee fka Joey Negro Big Smoke Mix)

Going back to your (Soul) Roots!

This is hot off the press.

This is a superb reworking of a superb original by "Edward's World" which was a major track for us back in 1994 and was posted on the PCC blog as far back as 2012 (check it out).

It is of course piano-licious from start to finish and this reworking is exactly the same.

Joe Ventura is most certainly one of the best producers/remixers about at the moment and without question "Big Speaker Music" is currently the best label out there.

Pretty much everything they put out is top notch, so check out their stuff.

Hope you enjoy the track, it's a belter and I'm sure you won't be disappointed.

Feel the inside!

Another amazing track from &ME (one of the Keinemusik guru's) and a mainstay of many of their great sets.

It's just a luscious piece of chilled laid back deep house.

The whole vibe and atmosphere of the track is electric and the vocals are just delightful.

When the "French Kiss" section kicks in it reaches heavenly status.

Feel the inside!

Simply gorgeous!

Röyksopp & Alison Goldfrapp - Impossible

(&ME Remix)

Come on, come on in!

Before his TV celebrity and fame, RuPaul had a few pretty decent house tracks.

This was probably the pick of them (although Supermodel was great also) courtesy of a great remix from Eric Kupper which was probably the one most played in clubs.

It sounds a bit dated now, but it always went down well on the dancefloor back in 1993.

RuPaul - House Of Love

(Eric Kupper 12" Mix)

Because I've nothing else here, for you!

Get your Balearic boots on, this heavenly.

Possibly the slowest track I've ever posted on the PCC blog in view of bpms.

However, the lack in speed is made up by the sheer quality of the track.

Ok, probably not one to drop at the peak of a set, but what about an end of the night track?

Without doubt the best track Spandau ever produced - it always amazes me that it wasn't a bigger hit.

The piano, the vocals, the sax, the harmonies and oh that chorus.

Heavenly!

Enjoy!

Spandau Ballet - I'll Fly For You

(Extended 80s Multitrack Version) (BodyAlive Remix)

Talking 'bout creation!

I always though Stereo MC's were a bit overhyped at the time.

However, this is a quality remix by JR which creates a top notch house track.

Always been a big fan of JR and he has produced some fantastic tracks and remixes over the years.

A DJ that was there from the start and deserves legend status.

This remix takes all the good bits from the track and houses them up big style.

Just how we like 'em!

Stereo MC's ‎- Creation

(Justin Robertson Vocal)

Yeah come on!

An old skool classic which I used to loove!

A top track with loads of great little vocal samples and of course some delectable piano.

One of this tracks which just wasn't played enough and hence is IMHO always a bit underrated.

I think it's tops!

"Yeah come on"

The Ya Ya's - Loove

(Piano House Mix)

Here comes the sun!

Another track which I can't quite believe I've not posted before.

This was a real classic and the mainstay of many of Oakey's great trance sets back in 1995.

The fact that is still sounds amazing nearly 30 years on is just testimony to it's quality.

There are other remixes of this track, but none caompare with the Oakey/Osbourne classic.

Totally epic!

Virus - Sun

(Oakenfold/Osborne Mix)

Are you sirius?

I always loved trance and those halcyon years of 1994 to 2000 were just amazing with some many epic tracks and fantastic producers.

I probably don't post enough trance on the PCC blog, but don't worry I've got literally hundreds cued up to post.

This one was a belter courtesy of an excellent remix by that man Tiesto.

Pure quality trance music from 1999

Subtle By Design - Sirius

(DJ Tiesto Remix)

I'm in a spin!

Can't quite believe that I've not posted this before.

It's one of those tracks which I could have sowrn has already been posted.

It's a huge fave of mine, I just love the feel of it and the vocals are just exquisite.

There are non-vocal versions under the title "77 Strings", but that in my opinion is denying you the glory of these amazing vocals and lyrics which are the real essence of this track.

An absolute banger and a huge track for me.

Enjoy!

Kurtis Mantronik Presents Chamonix - How Did You Know

Chubby and chunky!

Used to love this track, it was one of those that used to get played all the time for weeks on end in the clubs back in 1993.

Great little groove with loads of squelchy acid and some sublime piano.

A track that still sounds great today.

Quality house music, just how we like it.

Chubby Chunks - Testament One

No need to be quiet - man!

Absolute banger of a track from 1998.

Man With No Name produced some fine tracks and equally fine remixes.

This is a quality slice of trance heaven.

An all encompassing track which gives you every thing you need.

Get on it!

Quietman - The Sleeper

(Man With No Name Remix)

Trance heaven!

The Space Brothers and Lange two of the very best trance producers in that golden era of trance in the late 90's.

This is another perfect example of classic trance which has everything which made for such a fantastic and exciting scene.

Gorgeous vocals, thumping trance beats and rhythms, what can I say pure - Heaven!

The Space Brothers - Heaven Will Come

(Lange Vocal Mix )

Feel there's no escape!

I've been playing this a lot recently also.

Much more on the dance tip, maybe a tad commercial, but very very nice.

Great build up, some great vocals and some excellent piano.

"Torn between love and hate?"

What's not to like?

Daddy Squad - A Habit I Can't Break

(Reznik & Mikesh Remix)

You bought me some flowers.....

Heard this for the first time the other day and have hardly stopped playing it since.

Totally Balearic but absolutely fantastic.

Very raw and earthy with a great funky little vibe, wonderful lyrics and superb vocals.

I think Lola will be a big star (probably already is).

I'd say a cross between Billy Eilish and Adele?

Superb track which really kicks when the guitars and drums come in.

Top notch!

Get on it!

Lola Young - Conceited

Can you control your pleasure?

One of the oldest house tracks out there dating back to 1986, but still sounding fabulous.

Not quite as catchy as "Give Me Back The Love" but still pretty tasty all the same.

Some great piano throughout and just a delicious raw house vibe, which almost 40 years later still sounds amazing.

Another timeless classic.

Get on it!

On The House - Pleasure Control

(Long Version)

Saturday 2 March 2024

Dance to the soothing rhymes!

Love this little old skool belter from 1992.

A real mix of different vibes and samples, but some delicious piano.

A really great and very underplayed, forgotten gem.

Get on it!

Dance to the soothing rhymes!

Temple of Delights & Progression Session

Together!

This one certainly escaped me the first time around in 2002.

However, that doesn't surprise me, as I'd lost interest in dance music after the millennium as it just becoming notoriously bland.

Only heard this recently and grew an instant liking to it.

A tad on the commercial side, but very nice all the same.

Some stonking piano and some nice (if rather cheesey) vocals.

Great track - "Let's get together now!"

Chicco Secci & Robbie Rivera - Let's Get Together

(Main Club Mix)

Get down!

The original from 1992 was great, but this remix is just off the scale.

Love the work Joe Ventura does without a doubt one of the best remixers out there at the current moment.

This remix respects the original superbly, but just some extra piano fizz.

Just lovely, "Get Down" indeed!

Enjoy!

Todd Terry presents the Gypsymen - Hear The Music
