I loved Jomanda they were like the original girl band back in the late 80's and when remixed by the likes of Steve Silk, E-Smoove and the like, their tracks were superb on the dancefloor.

This is one of their lesser known tracks, but it is another bona fide PCC courtesy of a fine E-Smoove remix.

Here's another huge, huge fave of mine.
Jomanda (pictured) made some amazing tracks, particularly with the help of remixers like Steve "Silk" Hurley twiddling the knobs.
This is a true PCC and was an absolutely massive track back in 1991.
It was the sort of track that was in every self respecting DJ's box and a track that was played everywhere you went.
As soon those as those first few chords kicked in the dancefloor used to erupt and then when the horn kicks in - ooh heaven.
The vocals are absolutely first class (like all Jomanda tracks) and the Steve "Silk" remix is as you'd expect pretty near perfection.
The fact that it still sounds so amazing even today 20 years since it was released is testament to it's quality.
I'd go as far as to say that this is one of true great house tracks of our time.

You can't beat quality and this is pure quality.
In fact many of the tracks Jomanda did were right up there and hence a few more to post in the future.
This one is probably one of their most famous and it is pretty much immortalised in house music history.
Hard to believe, it's over 21 years old!!
It must have been sampled many, many times.
Great lyrics, great vocals, some great subtle piano, great rhythm.
What more could you ask for - a true PCC!!!

Everybody knows Jomanda from the classics such as make my body rock/got a love for you/don't you want my love etc, but this is a real beauty that was released on us big beat records.

First heard this is on a Graeme Park tape & spent ages tracking it down, other mixes by E-Smoove are also on the 12" but this is the stand out version.

Never let it get you down!!!

For all the fact that Sasha was a great DJ, I've never been a huge fan of his remix work. He has had the occasional moments of brilliance e.g. D-Ream - U R the Best Thing, Maria - Be As One, but I could probably count on one hand the remixes that have really blown me away.

Well this in my opinion is one of his best. It's a got a really great long build up, but is pure quality and the peak is well worth the wait.

A big shout out to Matthew, I know you like this one buddy.

I have to say people the interaction and track suggestions via the blog, Facebook etc has been great lately and please keep up the track suggestions. If the're good enough - true PCC status they will get posted.
