Heavenly!

I don't think it would be an overstatement to say Inner City were one of the best house acts of all time.

The combination of the genius of Kevin Sanderson and the amazing vocals of Paris Grey (a.k.a. Shanna Jackson) have stood the test of time from the very early days of house.

This is another of their classic tracks with an exquisite Def Mix courtesy of another house legends Mr Frankie Knuckles (R.I.P) and Mr David Morales.

Glorious house music and Paris' vocals are off the chart on this.

It is of course a remake of Stephanie Mills original, but even though this is now nearly 27 years old, it still sounds amazing.

Adeva with some of her powerful trademark vocals, Frankie with some great production and K-Klass with a superb piano-tastic remix.

Respect to two legends - R.I.P.

Thinking of all the great songs which could be dropped at midnight tonight on NYE to bring in the New Year and there are few which could be as dramatic and effective as this.

Yes, I've posted it on the PCC blog before and it is undoubtedly one of the greatest house tracks of all time.

Everything about it is sheer perfection and Jamie's vocals are just heavenly as are the delightful female background vocals.

I can't let go!

It was also a huge Alfredo track, so here is another tribute to the legend who passed away recently.

R.I.P. to both Frankie and Alfredo - quite possibly the two most influential dance music pioneers to have ever touched our worlds and now re-united in heaven.

Respect and gratitude to you both and Happy New Year to one and all.

A masterpiece from the master!

A complete and utter masterpiece from the legend that was Frankie and one that he regularly played in his sets.

The Directors Cut combo of Frankie and Eric Kupper produced some amazing tracks and remixes. 

They were truly absolute masters of their craft.

This tracks takes a simple hook from an 80's disco track and loops it, combined with some great percussion and of course that wonderful signature Frankie piano.

Just sublime!

Boy the legend produced some fantastic tracks, this is another sensational remix right up there with his best stuff (but to be honest everything he ever touched was golden).

Love everything about this track, great vocals, great vibe, great feel and of course Frankie's sensational piano sprinkled in aplenty.

Another fantastic track from the evergreen legend that is Diana, to think this first came out in 1976.

This Frankie remix is just perfection.

The tracks starts off slowly and is very laid back, but is oh so beautifully velvet and smooth, with some sublime piano, then half way through it increases tempo and becomes more housey.

I've also posted the Eric Kupper remix from 2020 which is more upbeat still and although not as good as Frankie's version is still very tasty.

 Quite surprised this is the first Lisa Stansfield track on the PCC blog, more to come in the future.

This is just sensational largely due to a fantastic Frankie Knuckles remix.

His remix skills very just second to none, laden with gorgeous piano he'd transformed non-descript tracks into dancefloor classics.

This is one such track, it just flows from start to finish and showcases Lisa's vocal talents perfectly.

The Classic Club mix is just pure piano delight which just brings to life Adeva's amazing vocals.

The Def Club Mix is typical Def Mix, housey, groovy, fantastic.

Then the Steve Anderson remix is just typical of his glorious piano infused remixes.

I've held off posting these tracks for a long time, but I can wait no more.

Two of clublands most prominent and influential tracks ever made.

If I had to choose I'd say Frankie's - Your Love, just pips "You've Got The Love", largely down to the fantastic vocal performance from Jamie Principle - which is just wonderful.

I've included a few of mixes of each track as there are so many great remixes to choose from, but these are my preferred ones.

All versions are just sublime and will always be true PCC's.

Everyone will be familiar with the traditional classic Voodoo Ray track, but this mix is less well known but IMHO truly sensational.

Frankie Knuckles (R.I.P) was arguably the most influential person in House music - period!

His remix work is always outstanding and this mix is truly fabulous. David Morales on percussion for good measure.

This is now 31 years old and still sounds amazing. A true PCC timeless classic!

Apologies for no posts recently, not had much time to be honest.
But now back with a banger.
A total house classic from my all time favourite album - "And Still I Rise".
Alison's voice is amazing.
The album is just stunning from start to finish.
I used to play it to death, especially on a Sunday after a hard nights clubbing the day before.
I you like classic house music a al Frankie and Morales, then you'll love it.
I still play it now and get goosebumps.

This must have been one of the last things he produced before his untimely death.
It's an absolutely tops re-working of the old Donna Summer classic.

"One Man" who contributed so much!! R.I.P. Frankie!!

I'm sure that you've all heard the very sad news that Mr Frankie Knuckles the Godfather of House music passed away just recently aged just 59 years young.
Anybody who has ever followed this blog will be aware of my huge admiration for Frankie and the music he both made and remixed, not forgetting his fantastic talents as a DJ.
He always was and always will be one of my all time favourite remixers and from the very early creation of house music in the 86/87, he has been the "One Man" who has consistently remained at the very top for nigh on 3 decades. "One Man" who never let you down!!
My respect cannot reach out strongly enough.
R.I.P. Frankie your music and talents have touched so many people and will never be forgotten.
I've posted  many of the tracks he made and remixed on this blog and I post this one in honour of the man who was Mr House Music!! (This one was remixed with Morales)
