Stormy weather ahead!

Always got a soft spot for Erasure.

They were one of the bands which I totally loved as a young teen and their sound and consistency was always super impressive.

Anything Vince Clarke ever touched just pure gold whether for Depeche, Yazoo, The Assembly or of course Erasure.

The Clarke-Bell collaborations were always magic with Andy's great vocal prowess and Vince's technical genius.

This track just epitomises the Erasure quality coupled with a great 7th Heaven and you have a great pop track with just enough club vibe to sneak it into PCC status.

Think about it baby!

Erasure - Just A Little Love

(7th Heaven Club Remix)

Thrilled to bits!

Staying on the Thrillseekers vibe, I couldn't resist posting this.

Just an piece of aural delight.

Steve Helstrip's trance work was always super special and this is another exquisite remix.

The breakdowns on this are so chilled but so energising at the same time.

A real trance masterpiece.

Usual Aspect - Mr Blue

(Thrillseekers Remix)

Feel the emotion!

A fine piece of trance from 2004 with a cracking Thrillseekers remix.

It hits all the key spots with lots of driving energy, tempo changes and a great overall vibe.

When done well trance is always such a great genre.

This would still down well in any club.

Right on!

Witness Of Wonder - Emotion In Motion

(Thrillseekers Remix)

I need you baby!

A sublime piece of classic house music.

Superb vocals, great lyrics, sublime production from Frankie and some lush piano chords.

A really fantastic track quite reminiscent of Luther and Janet's - Best Things In Life Are Free (yes it's that good).

Musical perfection - not far off!

Will Downing - There's No Living Without You

(Classic Club Mix)

Why do you have to drop that bomb on me?

Apologies, it's a month late (e.g. June has just passed), but great to hear this.

Jay Kay at his best with great vocal delivery combined with a sublime Ashly Beedle remix.

When Ashley's on it, he's on it.

This is a just such a glorious summer track.

Pure class!

Why do you have to drop that bomb on me?

Jamiroquai - Seven Days in Sunny June

(Ashley Beedle Heavy Disco Vocal Remix)

Simply divine!

One of BT's finest moments.

This track for me captured all his musical talents, some spine tingling piano, some great bird noises and aural sound effects which just took you on a building trance journey.

Possibly not as dancefloor friendly as some tracks, but it was very nicely produced.

It was also pretty trailblazing at that time in 1995 and certainly captured Sasha's attention who was deeply inspired by BT.

The piano breakdown from 7 mins 53 secs in is just heavenly and simple divine!

Enjoy the journey!

BT - Divinity

Friends come and friends they go!

Never need an excuse to post a Janet track and certainly never need an excuse to post anything Steve Anderson has touched.

This is one of Janet's lesser known tracks from 1990, but it gets the Steve A treatment laden with great piano.

Janet's great vocals and the energetic upbeat tempo coupled with Steve's remixing genius create a fine little track and certainly one which should have had more club exposure.

A bit of a forgotten gem this one.

Enjoy!

Janet Jackson - Alright

(Steve Anderson DMC Mix)

It's up to you baby!

Totally loved Paris Angels back in the day and was convinced they were going to be the next big thing, but alas it didn't turn out.

I've still got all their EP's on vinyl and just loved their vibe.

More indie dance than prime club music, but pure class all the same.

Part of the Madchester vibe at the time and musically (almost) on a par with The Roses (well maybe The La's).

The track was some wonderful ethereal vocals and a fizzing electro vibe, with some lush jangly guitar.

Also a favourite of Chris and James I believe and played in some of their sets.

Still sounds amazing 35 years on!

We're going stupid once again!

Paris Angels - Perfume (Loved up)

Sweet love!

A nice little cheery summer vibe track.

It reminds me of Saint Etienne in their Fox Base Alpha years.

Great remix by the legend Frankie.

Chirpy little vocals, a nice chilled summer vibe and some lush piano chords.

Enjoy!

Feela - Sweet Temptation

(Frankie Knuckles Classic Club Mix)

Light up the stars!

An oldie from the great Larry Heard under his Mr Fingers moniker.

Just really smooth classic house grooves, that just float along.

Nothing complicated, just smooth, subtle and understated, but oh so pleasant.

Still sounds great 34 years on!

Mr Fingers - Stars

Any moment now, maybe tomorrow!

This is a fabulous track which first caught my ear a few weeks back when first heard on Parky's great radio show.

It's subtle, steady, builds gradually but features some lovely moments.

Talked rap kind of rhymes against some lush piano chords creating a Massive Attack type vibe.

Very nice and chilled for Summer.

Would go down a treat at Cafe Del Mar!

Joshua Idehen - Could Be Forever

(Prins Thomas Diskomiks)

Baby baby I feel these sweet sensations!

Another great Jamiroquai track, with a fine Paul Rincon remix.

Jay Kay was a real unique talent and such a breath of fresh air when he arrived on the scene in the early 90's.

Some of his tracks were dancefloor gold when remixed and this is a good one.

He always had good lyrics to support his great vocals and his funky vibe.

Baby baby I feel these sweet sensations, yeah!

Jamiroquai - Love Foolosophy

(Raul Rincon Remix)

I'd do anything for you!

Always loved this track.

Very M-People-esque.

Great vocals, a really chilled and cool Sade-esque vibe and some nice subtle piano.

Still sounds great, 36 years on.

Harriet - Temple Of Love

(Tuff Stuff)

Come on people, see the light!

Another great track from Verdo.

What I love about this guy, is that he produces music which is just what I want to hear.

Most notably, great dance music with fantastic piano breakdowns.

He is one of most refreshing artists to come onto the scene for many years and I hope he becomes huge.

His style is very reminiscent of the old skool type tracks from the early 90s when everything piano was heavenly.

That's 4 corking tracks which are up their with anything else I've heard produced in recent years.

This is one of the fundamental reasons I've continued with my blog for so many years, it's coming across tracks which just hit you and immediately give you that sense of euphoria that great dance music is all about.

This is quite simply another piano laden banger.

Right on - see the light!

Verdo - Let In The Light

Do you want it too?

Just love Verdo's productions, they are just so smooth and engrossing.

Gorgeous laid back trance which just soothes the soul.

Always laden with subtle yet so effective piano, they are things of exquisite beauty.

As with the two tracks already posted this is another absolute piece of musical magic.

I definitely want it!

Verdo - I Want It

And there's no coming down!

A fine piece of trance with some great unique voiced vocals.

As with all their work G&D provide another amazing production which compliments the excellent vocals which are voiced rather than sung, but nonetheless sound great and really create a strong vibe.

This feeling is all new, I want you addicted to me.

Rachael Starr - Till There Was You

Gabriel & Dresden Club Mix)

Tight, moving all night!

Surprised this is the first Drizabone track posted and also surprised I've posted so few Nush productions.

Nush were always epic and pretty much everything they touched was piano tinged gold.

This is no exception combining Drizabone's great vocals with some lush piano chords to make a great house classic.

The track first came out in 1991, but this remix was a few years later in 1995.

I always enjoyed this track and glad to hear that it still sounds so good after all these years on.

Viva la house musique!

Drizabone - Real Love

(Nush Glamour Mix)

Cast adrift on a troubled dream!

Corking mix by the man like!

Although not a big fan of Sasha's DJ musical style post 94/95 prior to that he was one of the GOATs.

I found his DJ sets post 1995 just plain boring and could never understand the adulation and following he got.

In my opinion he just played long boring spacey tracks which although ok, never really peaked or reached the heights of many other DJs of that era.

My memories of him from the early 90's will always be the ones I cherish.

A bit about these remix, fizzing, energetic, exciting and one of his best, post 95, so get on it!

Cast adrift on a troubled dream!

Doves ‎– Jetstream

(Sasha Remix)

You're not welcome here no more!

Classic piece of Electro House from 1986 which still sounds great 40 years on.

Raw, freshy, funky and authentic.

This was a sign of things to come in house music.

A classic and trailblazing most definitely.

Dhar Braxton - Jump Back (Set Me Free)

(Club Mix)

Baby seem like everywhere I go I see you!

Beyoncé's vocals are just so great on house remixes and there is nobody better in the business than the Freemasons to convert good pop tracks into superb dancefloor bangers.

This uses all the usual Freemasons charms and formula and creates yet another piece of superb dance friendly fodder.

Fast paced, layered with piano and using the fabulous Beyoncé vocals to great effect.

Baby seem like everywhere I go I see you!

Beyoncé - Déjà Vu

(Freemasons Extended Club Mix)

Taking over!

Let's just stay on the A&B theme as this is another truly delightful track.

Gorgeous vocals by Gemma Hayes and an equally superb remix by Yotto.

This track just has such a delightful vibe, one of those with just swathes and swaddles you with warmth through subtle grooves.

All I feel is sadness now, taking over, taking over!

Above & Beyond feat. Gemma Hayes

- Counting Down The Days

(Yotto Remix)

There is nowhere in this universe to hide!

Don't you just love A&B.

They always just nailed their tracks and remixes.

It's not often you get a really great male vocal in trance tracks, but hats off to Richard Bedford, his great vocals really enhance a superb track.

The A&B production is just superb as per usual.

They were really masters of their craft.

I've wrestled with angels all my life!

Trance heaven!

Above & Beyond - Alone Tonight

(Above & Beyond's Club Mix)

Stay on the beach!

Another quality track which also captures that delightful Ibizan Balearic feel.

Some delightful piano blended throughout some delicious grooves.

This one would also go down nicely as the tempo rises at the Cafe Del Mar.

Groove on!

Furry Phreaks - Gonna Find A Way

(Main Mix)

A touch of paradise!

Quality piece of Balearic bliss.

When that piano kicks in you can almost feel the beach and the hot sun.

Very Café Del Mar-esque!

Just a delightful piece of Ibizan delight.

Very interesting to know that it's actually from 2017 and just replicates the '89 Ibizan feel.

Very nicely done.

Bring on the sunshine!

Azura - Paraíso '89

I hope you feel the same way!

Another cracking hidden gem from 1991.

This one didn't have as much floor time as it should have, as it's a corking old skool track.

A nice catchy rhythm, some nice female vocals and a real funky groove and some nice piano.

I hope you feel the same way!

Gary Wallace Presents Ecstacy - Gotta Have You

Love me till you drop!

A catchy little track from 1989.

I always think this has a Prince vibe about it.

A cracking little piano riff adds to the house appeal.

A nice little groover!

What are you tellin' me?

A'me Lorain - Whole Wide World

(Wingate 12" House Remix)
