Feel the summer vibe?

Well it's certainly not summer, but here is one of the great summer tracks to brighten up your cold, dreary November day here in good old Blighty.

From 1989 this track is just delightful, containing some fantastic piano and lush Spanish vocals, even the Black Eyed Peaz versions from 2008 were pretty good and respected the original.

The Steve Anderson remix is simply amazing as well and adds even a touch more piano to lift it to an even higher level of lushness! Fantastic production as always from the legend that is Steve A.

A true Balearic summer classic which will always sound amazing.

Enjoy!

You are an obsession, you're my obsession!

More greatness from Mr Wiltshire.

Here he takes and old 80s cult classic pop track and as per usual transforms it into an absolutely epic dancefloor monster.

Without doubt one of the very best remixers of our generation whether under the guises of Jimmy Gomez, Freemasons, The Delorme or the other countless aliases.

This is fierce, respecting the great vocals of the original and sprinkling in lots of his customary high quality piano breaks.

Just lovely.

Animotion - Obsession

(James Wiltshire's '94 Club Mix)

Music is my life, it's the joy I have inside!

Throw two of my favourite remixers together and you're bound to get something special and this certainly doesn't disappoint.

You're instantly hooked from the opening police type sirens, then lush piano chords, throw in some great vocals and you have your bonafide PCC.

Great track from 1992, which still feels electric today, nearly 30 years on.

Enjoy!

Everyday hurts??

An absolutely epic track, as are many of Blue Amazon's remixes.

They certainly produced and remixed some top notch tracks.

This takes you on a huge journey - all 14 and a half minutes of it, but it is one that never gets boring.

The track just keeps on building and building, like all great trance/progressive house tracks.

Skin's unique vocals are equally sensational.

There's probably not enough Blue Amazon on the blog and something I'll have to address in future posts.

That was just dream!!

Another track which I've always truly loved.
There have been many many attempts to create a good dance mix of this pop classic, but none have come anywhere near except this one.
It keeps all the best bits of a great record and just dances it up enough.
I love the chunky beats.
I just love this track!!
Enjoy!!

Don't You Just Love DMC?

Now the original of this track is a great classic from 89, but those DMC boys mixed it up a treat.
An all round quality house tune from beginning to end

Echoes, thunder almost every night!

You only need to take one look at the cover above to see that this track was originally an 80's pop tune from the USA. 1989 to be precise. Nice outfits or what?
But the remix by DMC (Dakeyne And Steve Anderson) really brings it to life - in fact it's hardly recognisable.

Check out You Tube first ( http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0wyMNEL3QRU )
to see just how different the original chart version is before listening to what a great job the remixer did turning this into one of my favourite Club Classics.

Great bassline. Sweet piano and a nice vocal, although like lots of 80's tunes the lyrics are a bit idealistic. But hey, what's wrong with wanting a better world for everyone, I suppose?
The 'keep, keep, keep, keep bustin' hook is fantastic and meant that you always knew when this track was about to be dropped in a club.

The vocal below is heavenly.

Echoes thunder almost every night!

If you listen to the track you'll notice that it's pretty slow - only about 120bpm I think. In my opinion it sounds better speeded up a bit. Maybe to 130bpm
