Just "Bryllyant!"

The title says it all a new beat classic out of Belgium which was a big track at Shoom and very much part of the Acid House hey day.

It still sounds great today, so imagine how unique it must have sounded almost 40 years ago.

Quality never dies.

Simply "Bryllyant!"

Let's go back, way back....

Ok, moving away from the Trance vibe back to an early balearic classic.
This one dates back to 1988 and was a massive track at early Acid House clubs like Shoom.
It is a lovely piece of balearic vibe, with lots of funky rhythms and some delightful chunks of piano.
You can't help but like it.
Uplifting to one and all.
Enjoy!!!

"It's sinful, it's tragic!!!"

Now for something completely different.
A big Acid House Balearic classic - I bloody love this one.
Big at the likes of Shoom.
Not the danciest of PCCs, but it's just a really great track and still sounds great today.
Love the lyrics as well.
"Hey Joe, got the news tonight should I laugh or should I cry or should I stay and fight"
"It's sinful, so true"
You can't beat the "Badda Da, Badda Da, Badda Da, Badda Da, Badda Da, Badda Da, Ba Yah"
Quality.

Some Balearic Bliss for you folks!!!

Hello People, I hope you are all well despite the freezing temperatures here in good old Blighty.
To all our foreign friends out there the weather we are having in England is the coldest for decades with temperatures well below -10 Degs C.
So to try and brighten (and warm )you up here come a few Balearic posts to remind you all of warmer climes and happy moments.
I've been spending quite a bit of time on the Balearic Beats site on Facebook of late and I'd recommend you to check it out, as there are some quality posts on there.

Hence staying on a Balearic vibe here is one of my all time Balearic faves.
This track has absolutely everything, a fantastic vibe, wonderful sax, superb piano, great vocals, great lyrics and a fantastic sing along chrous. It was a huge track at Shoom back in 1988.
A truly fantastic track.
Enjoy!!

I can't resist another superb Balearic Classic!!!

Anyone who follows the blog, will now of my huge love of Balearic Classics, the sort of tunes which can only be classified as non-dance music, but had an absolutely amazing reaction on the dancefloor when dropped at the right moment in a club.
There can be no better track then this one, a true balearic classic of the highest order and massive in the acid house era at clubs like Shoom.
Just a real quality track and one I totally love. You just can't beat that piano and the superb laid back groove, it just totally hooks you.
For me the only mix is the Street Groove (non vocal mix) and hence this is the one posted.
If any of you ut there remember this being dropped in a club, give me a shout to share that experience or drop some comments in the comments box.
A Pure Club Classic of the very highest order.
Enjoy!!! As know you certainly will with this one!!!

Here's another Balearic classic from Chris Rea!!!

Who would of ever thought that Chris Rea would have produced fantastic dance tracks.
Well here's another superb track, not quite up there with Josephine, but top drawer all the same.
Legend has it that Danny Rampling had been DJing at Shoom and on leaving the club and getting into a taxi, this was on the radio. He asked the Taxi driver to turn it up, liked it and then decided to play it at Shoom the following week to rapturous applause.
A great Balearic story!!! If anyone was at Shoom at remembers this being played, drop me a line.
Enjoy, its a classic!!
