Al I want to do is, do it!

A corking trance track which was a huge Oakey track back int' day and later became immortalised from the hilarious but very credible Kevin & Perry film.

It's hard not to listen to it now without thinking "all I want to do is do it".

That shouldn't however detract from the epic nature of this track and is just a piece of trance brilliance.

It has one of the all time great piano breakdowns, which always sounds amazing!

Sit, back, relax and enjoy or even better get up and dance!

One of the best!

One of the truly great tracks of it's time courtesy of the legendary Pete Namlook and still sounding amazing today.
This was right at the forefront of the progressive house scene way back in 1993 and could also be classed as one of the very first and finest trance tracks.
The track was produced by the genius of

The Northern Mix is a little slower in tempo than the Southern Mix and is my favourite of the two.

However, it was the Southern Mix which really brought this track to prominence as it was a key part of Oakey's trailblazing Goa Mix.

In fairness both remixes are amazing, pounding, banging, throbbing and with that catchy little whistling hookline.

In one work - immense!

It was of course much copied and sampled most notably by Kaycee - Escape later in the 90's but it was never a patch on the original.

There was also a decent remix by Signum which I've included.

4 great tracks all PCCs - Enjoy!

Changing my consciousness!

Massive trance classic from 1998.

Man With No Name was always on it and regularly hammered by Oakey.

This is a quality piece of high voltage trance, driving, pounding, throbbing yet blissful at the same time.

Throw in some piano and you have it all.

Pure quality and still sounding fantastic all these years on!

Platipus were one of the very finest trance labels in that era

Stellar remix!

Surprised I've not posted this one before.

This was always a big track in Oakey's sets and one that just blew you away.

Trance perfection.

No need for vocals when the music is so good.

Enjoy!

There's nowhere left to hide!

An amazing piece of production capturing two outstanding talents who have been consistently leading the way in their respective sub-sectors for the last 30 years.

I've always been a huge The Cure fan, they have always created music which is unique, trailblazing and despite not being aimed at the dancefloor has always had great remix-ability.

Bring in the studio and dance music talents of Oakey and you have a true masterpiece.

The title is quite right this is hugely cinematic and would be a great score for an emotional movie scene.

The piano drop in this track is heavenly!

This track would be a great set opener.

Class is permanent!

Heard it all before?

Always loved Madonna and I don't think her Queen of Pop moniker will ever be toppled.

She was true genius who ruled for decades through the 80s, 90s, 00s with frequent chameleon like image changes always shocking, always trailblazing and always accompanied by brilliant music tracks.

A lot of her earlier career didn't have too much dancefloor appeal, more so the latter part.

This is a fine example with a great remix by Oakey, just using the great Madonna vocal prowess to great effect.

Nothing to be sorry about!

Old vs. New?

Two very different remixes of this Moby track.

The Perfecto remix from 2000 is classic Oakey in his Goa trance vibe and is a really great remix, which still sounds superb 25 years on.

Then there is a very new remix from BLOND:ISH, and Kiko Franco which is very much in the current Afro House vibe, which contains some great piano.

Both great and just examples of the art of remixing using the same base but creating completely different vibes.

You don't have to choose, just enjoy them both.

I feel so extraordinary!!!

One of Oakey's finest remixes and an iconic New Order track.

It's hard to explain the influence New Order had on modern day music as they were so immense and were a huge part of my musical diet as a youngster.

Great to see that they are still going strong.

I saw them in concert at Wythenshawe in Manchester last year and they were still absolutely on it!

Respect!

About the track, just genius and Oakey adds some sublime touches of piano to give it that dancefloor vibe.

Two class acts!

The legend still has it!

Heard this recently from a mixset from Oakey a few months back and great to hear that the legend is still at it and selecting top quality material.

This has lots of female chanting and builds in slow but powerful manner and then really kicks some.

It was for me the highlight of his set and a track which hits deep.

Love the bit when the synths really explode.

Rock on Oakey!

Hold on tight!

Such an amazing track and up there with the all time trance classics.

This track had so much energy, pumping, pounding and building such an atmosphere on the dancefloor.

It feels a touch faster/harder than I remember it, but maybe it was played a touch slower in clubs to mix in with the next track.

A big Oakey track back int'day!

This one literally shook the dancefloor!

I always loved a track which slowed down and then sped up, it just created an awesome atmosphere.

Follow the sun!

Huge fan of quality trance.

This is much later than the halcyon trance days of the late 90's early 00's, but it still has that same energetic pumping feel.

Anything that Oakey was involved in whether remixes, his own production or just the tracks he played were always gold and that is why he right achieved iconic status.

This has it all big build ups, big drops, pumping energy and ehteral vocals.

Top drawer!

How low can you go?

Probably less well known and probably not quite as good as the other two Gary Clail tracks posted on the blog, but an excellent piece of Indie Dance from 1990 all the same.

Great remix by Oakey and Osborne, very typical of many of their Indie Dance remixes of that era, laced with just enough piano to give that extra bit of kick.

Definitely a track for the Vegans out there.

Beef; how low can you go, hear the cattle cry; death row!

Bangin' pumpin'

A banging piece of trance from 1997 from Oakey's Perfecto label.

It was a track which epitomises the brilliant trance sound of that era.

Bangin' pumpin' drivin' energetic and euphoric all at the same time,

A cracking track which has stood the test of time.

Get on it!

Delightful!

A pretty spectacular track from 2004.

Oakey sprinkles his usual magic dust.

The intro is just sublime with the piano and then the guitar, which then both kick in again mid way through.

Pure class!

Carlos Vives - Como Tu

We had such a fine time together!

One of my all time favourite vocalists, just such a fantastic singer.

Her album "And Still I Rise" is one of my all time favourites and I spent many a Sunday chilling out to it in the 90's after a long clubbing session the night before.

Alison is of course most known for the fabulous "Where Love Lives" which although a bonafide club classic, it has been so overplayed that it has now lost some of it's original fizz.

This is a great track which fully emphasises Alison's vocal power accompanied by a great remix from the Oakey/Osborne - Perfecto duo.

We had such a fine time together!

A top notch PCC!

Here comes the sun!

Another track which I can't quite believe I've not posted before.

This was a real classic and the mainstay of many of Oakey's great trance sets back in 1995.

The fact that is still sounds amazing nearly 30 years on is just testimony to it's quality.

There are other remixes of this track, but none caompare with the Oakey/Osbourne classic.

Totally epic!

Get on the scooter - enjoy the ride!

Didn't think I'd be posting Scooter on the PCC blog, but this is a cracking track often dropped by Oakey back in 1994.

Still sounds great today and not at all commercial.

A quality piece of progressive house.

Enjoy!

Scooter - Vallée De Larmes

(Re-Incarnation By The Loop! Version)

The original mix also very good and hence also included.

Let's make today a beautiful day!

I simply haven't got enough U2 on the blog and whilst very much a rock act, their tracks are fantastic when remixed.

This is a great remix by Oakey who uses the Bono lyrics to perfection and layers the trance with a great trance vibe typical of his Flouro sound.

There are lots of remixes of this classic track, but this is the best,

Enjoy!

Another Time (less) track!

A fantastic trance track from 1998 and one hammered by Oakie.

It contains everything you'd expect from a bangin' trance track.

There are a few different remixes of this, but I still go back to the original as being the best.

Enjoy!

Welcome to the wonderland!

Brace yourself for 16 minutes of the most epic trance you are likely to hear.

Here in all it's full glory are the complete versions of this most wonderful track from 1993.

There are of course many remixes and many are excellent, however you get the best feel for the real brilliance and amazing atmosphere of this track through these versions.

Spellbinding!

Enjoy!

If you haven't quite got the patience for 16 mins, I've also posted the instrumental version (the one hammered by Oakey), which is epic enough although only 6 mins in length.
