A huge gay anthem and a wonderful, wonderful uplifting track.

I remember hearing this in Paradise Factory, in Manchester and it absolutely took the roof off.

It was a truly fantastic clubbing memory.

Truly fantastic vocals by the wonderfully talented Martha Wash - gosh can that lady sing or what!!

Can you believe this track is 27 years old - amazing!! It still sounds great!!

These were the sort of tracks which dropped at the right moment, simply made your night.

Pure balearic bliss!!!

Staying on the Theme of Gay Anthems!!!!

I've mentioned on this blog, before that although a strictly hetero guy, I had some of my best clubbing nights and memories at gay clubs like Vague and Paradise Factory.

The atmosphere there was just electric and one of free abandon, with one sole purpose to dance as much as possible and to have the best time possible. There was less postruing and posing than in straight clubs, people just went there to have a fantastic time and get messy!!

This track has to be one of the true gay anthems and it comes with a monstrous and I repeat monstrous remix from T-empo. This remix is simply huge, with some banging piano and some fantastic "hands in the air" moments.

Trouble was I could never quite bring myself to sing the chorus, well certainly not in the middle of Vague. Lol

A big Paradise Factory track coming your way!!!

Yo people get a load of this. A true club classic -this one is a sort of rap style track, but very very funky, a little bit Neneh Cheery-ish - it's got loads of attitude.

It was one I always loved, but to be honest had forgotten about.

Hence a bit shout out to Matthew for first of all bringing this one to my attention and also supplying the link.

Respect fella.

Here's another great track that just built and built and then finally exploded.
It had that oh so familar guitar riff from "Funky Guitar".
That's the great thing about dance tracks, they never have any shame in sampling each others tracks.
You may recall that The Flavour had an absolute club monster with "No Matter What You Do". While this one is now quite in that league, it's none the less a great track and was massive at Vague in Leeds and also Paradise Factory in Manchester and absolutely hammered by the likes of Jon of the Pleased Wimmin and TWA.
A really great club tune that never failed to set the dancefloor alight.
I've posted TC1992 as well, so you can haer the comparison and the guitar riff. Now this tune brings back some amazing memories of Back To Basics in Leeds. Whenever this track was played it was always one of the highlights of the night "1,2,3,4". I guess because it was so unique. There was simply nothing else like it out there at the time.

Love this.

It brings back fantastic memories of what was one of the most rocking clubs which I ever had the pleasure of going to; Paradise Factory in Manchester.
