The PSB are no strangers to the PCC Blog and have always had a great dance music appeal.
This is a corking remix by Jam & Spoon which adds a super feel to Neil's great vocals.
A really pleasant and quite unusual mix.

His remixes are often just subtle tweaks here and there, but always just add a little oomph to already great tracks.
The Shoppies have proven their legendary status by their longevity and consistency across several decades.
I like the little raps in this version, which add a little something extra.
Of course we also need to pay homage to Mr Presley for the original version dating back to 1972.

Well this is a fine example, I'd say that the remix doesn't had a huge amount to the original version, but that's probably a bit of an impossible task.
This is one of my real favourite tracks and always put me in a different place.
The combination of musical talents on this with Bernard, Jonny, Neil and Chris is just off the scale and they combine and complement so effectively.
This track is just genius and the remix just allows it to flow by virtually playing the original twice.
One of the great tracks of our era.

Electronic - Getting Away With It

This was the theme tune to a fashion show called "The Clothes Show" which we all used to watch, which supposedly informed us of what was cool to wear.
I grew up think the Pet Shop Boys were just a pop act without fully appreciating their musical genius and the sheer brilliance of many of their songs.
Their longevity just re-emphasises this.
I going to see them live in Manchester in a few weeks which should be great.
About the track, well it's just a fabulous piece of Italo Disco with some wonderful vocals by Neil and some charming lyrics.
A real classic to this day.
It steals heavily from New Order's -Blue Monday and it also features a sample which Sabrina used in her very exciting "Boys, Boys, Boys"
Love the line "Zazoo what you gonna do?"

(Extended Mix)
The Pet Shop Boys have stood the test of time as one of the great pop/dance acts.
When remixed by the Trouser Enthusiasts it just goes up another level.
This is another fantastic remix creating an epic monster of a track.
It has a beautiful breakdown as well as the traditional pumping TE sound.
Neil's vocals are just so distinctive and an ideal foil for dance music.
The breakdown is very reminiscent of Oakey's legendary - Orange Mix, but that is a complement.
A great track.

Yet another superb Brothers In Rhythm remix creates a epic re-working of a great pop song.
My admiration for the PSB's has grown over the years as I've uncovered more of their underground tracks and this is right up there with their best stuff.
Neil's vocals are always so distinctive and they work to great effect on this track.
BiR of course have the Midas touch and voila we have a supremely produced piece of dance music delight.

They were huge Dusty fan's and also huge fans of the underground dance music movement, in addition to their more overground pop success.
A great remix by Oakey/Osbourne create a piano laden delight.

Anyone who follows this blog, will know that I'm a huge fan of Frankie Knuckles' remix work.
Well, I know you all like your gay anthems and they don't come much camper than this!!
Now I know I talk about Balearic Brilliance quite a bit on the blog and have explained my terminolgy of this several times, but I have to say that this track fits perfectly into that mode.
