It's ok!

Another quality new track from Todd Terry.

His last few new tracks have marked a move to quite a different style to his more traditional classic house for which he is so renown for several dacades.

However, it still retains that great Todd production and most certainly bangs.

This comes with a fierce drum roll and some serious house beats.

It's more than ok!

Enjoying this one at the moment which is new and another one I heard on Parky's fabulous Radio Show.

So pleased the great man is back and well again.

This is a corking track and dare I say it very unlike Todd "The God".

He still is usually fierce crunchy house bits with a groove to die for, where this one is a bit more hands in the air and piano-tastic.

I'm not complaining mind, as it's a belter, just a bit different to the traditional TT style which we know and love.

Keep 'em coming TT.

The original from 1992 was great, but this remix is just off the scale.

Love the work Joe Ventura does without a doubt one of the best remixers out there at the current moment.

This remix respects the original superbly, but just some extra piano fizz.

Just lovely, "Get Down" indeed!

Fantastic track from 1995.

I loved some of the work Definition of Sound did, they were one of the few acts who bridged that hip-housey - mainstream vibe very well.

This track is sensational courteousy of another superb Todd remix.

I love the guitar riff on this one, which just adds that extra dimension and coupled with that lush piano and you have a true PCC.

A really superb track.

 Really surprised I haven't posted this one before.

It's a true house classic from Todd the God under one of his many aliases.

The riff in this is to die for and Todd's usual crunchy house beats create a true house classic.

This is from 1994 and almost 30 years on it still sounds amazing and fresh.

Now this did raise the house!

Now here's a track which was absolutely huge on the clubs dancefloors.

It's from 1993 and is a bit of a mash up of various tracks, but oh my it was fantastic when dropped.

It includes the following tracks but regardless of it's pilfering no one could argue with it's ingenuity and the effect it had on the dancefloor.

Very sad to hear of the passing of Joyce Sims this week.

She has a hugely talented vocalist and adorned many great disco and house tracks.

This is a really smooth little house ditty from 1990, less fierce than most of TT's remixes, but still very good all the same.

R.I.P Joyce your place in dance music history will always be remembered.

Nobody creates fiercer beats than TT and this one is no exception.

He transforms a nice pleasant pop song into a fierce house classic.

Laden with some cracking piano, it really is a top notch remix.

This one was absolutely hammered back in '92.
It was just one of those tracks that was played everywhere by every self-respecting DJ.
Really simple built around a simple riff and loop, but devastating in clubs.
Simple is sometimes best.
It still sounds great even today, 24 years on!

Time for a bit of legendary house music.
There are some tracks which are so obvious that I've often overlooked posting and this is one of them.
It is widely recognised as one of the most famous house records and I bet that there isnt anyone who was around in the late 80's who hasn't heard this.
It is of course the work of the genius that is Todd Terry.
I know I've mentioned it before on the blog, that the music he produced always has really crisp crunchy beats that are so infectious.
The whole track is just immense from the sirens at beginning to the jammin groove and all the vocal snippets

Anybody used to sing along "f**k off, f**k off" on another of the vocal bits or was that just me?Lol.
All in all  - one of the great house tracks of all time.
It still sounds amazing even though it's 25 years old.

Yes indeed, Ladies and Gentlemen put your hands together to celeberate the marriage of our future King to his delightful new wife.
Here's hoping that they have a fabulous day and a great marriage together and bring back some class to the royal family, so badly damaged by Charles and the trollop that is Camilla.
Back to the music, the track is a big PCC and a another top track from Todd the God.
It's chocker full of samples including PM Dawn's - Watcher Point of View (a track remixed by Todd also), DHS - House of God, and lots of other clever samples.
I remember Todd dropping it when he played at the L'America event at the Leeds Corn Exchange back in 1993 and it blew the gaff big time. What a top night that was, the set Todd played was amazing, it was also probably the most self promoting set I've ever heard from a DJ, everything he played was either a track created by himself or a remix he'd done. (Very much I love me, who do you love).
Anyway, great track, so please Puts Your Hands Together for our royal couple!

Well it's goes summat like that!!
The Grand Piano track reminded me to post this old classic, which is a big fave of mine.
Here's the original version which is a true PCC.
This one is way old dating back to 1979 - I was only a young pup still in short trousers back then!!
I've also upped a version which is given a good make over by Todd Terry.
It retains all the bits which made the original great, but Mr Terry adds his usual crunchy beats.
It's an incredibly simple track, but very effective.

Another piece of classic house music courtesy of the legend that is Mr Frankie Knuckles.
It's everything you'd expect from a Frankie Knuckles track, great piano, great rhythm accompanied with some very catchy lyrics and some great vocals from Roberta Gilliam.
It was remixed by David Morales and produced by Todd Terry hence with 3 house music legends involved it was bound to be special.

I always loved this track and have very fond memories of Todd Terry dropping it at L'America at the Corn Exchange in Leeds, in 1993. He played one of the most egotistical sets of I've ever heard a DJ play (virtually every track he dropped was one of his own productions or one of his remixes), but it was a bloody legendary set and yes every track was different class.
This track was a real belter, a bit poppy but with those great crunchy beats which are a trademark of all Todd Terry remixes.
This one is under one of his many alias' - this time the House of Gypsies.
As you'd expect the vocals are superb from Annie Lennox.
Great track, great memories.
The picture of Demi Moore - well this track was also pretty prominent in the film Striptease starring Ms. Moore. A good excuse to post a picture of a delightful lady.

One of my favourite vocal intro's ever!!!

I simply love the vocal intro to this track, fantastically belted out by the legend that is Martha Wash.

I have fond memeories of this being dropped by Graeme Park at the Hacienda back in 1992, it always went down a storm.

A typical Todd Terry remix, with his trademark style and usual top quality, simply a very solid piece of house music with a wonderful vocal performance from Martha Wash.
