Just "Bryllyant!"

The title says it all a new beat classic out of Belgium which was a big track at Shoom and very much part of the Acid House hey day.

It still sounds great today, so imagine how unique it must have sounded almost 40 years ago.

Quality never dies.

Simply "Bryllyant!"

Can you feel the sunshine?

Surprised I've not posted this before, a quality upbeat house classic from 1992.

It was a mainstay of many of Parky's and Danny Rampling's sets back in 1992.

Very fond memories of bopping away in the Hac to this one.

It's just one of those tracks that instantly brings a smile to your face.

The piano is just so infectious.

All we need is some sunshine, which is sadly lacking in the UK at the moment (no surprise there!).

Love, a freedom without sin!

Love this a little known hidden gem from 1989.

A great remix by the legend that is Danny R.

Danny wasn't the most prolific remixer, but his hear for a tune was always his forte and his remixes were usually laced with some delicious piano and this is right on cue.

Love, a freedom without sin!

A great little track.

Enjoy!

It's just the sun rising, it's shining!

The Beloved were one of my fave dance acts.

Jon Marsh's vocals were just on another level and of course they were heavily involved in the whole Acid House scene.

This is one of their most famous tracks, but with a great remix by the main man Danny R.

Danny for me didn't get into the studio enough, as most of his remixes were class and just hit the spot.

In a nutshell "class!"

C'mon Danny!

For me Danny didn't spend enough time in the studio, as I always think the tracks he did make and remix were always pretty top notch, much like his DJing.

This was one of his rare forages into the studio to produce a banger, which was very much in the keeping of the 1994 Progressive House and also the forthcoming Goa era.

We used to enjoy hearing this on the dancefloor.

C'mon!!!

Balearic forever - bring on the sunshine!!

A beautiful lush Balearic number.
Perfect for the summertime, all we need is some sun!!
A classic from 1990 which still stands the test of time.
Just lovely!

Loco Mia - Rumba, Samba, Mambo
(Four To The Floor Remix)

Also posting the Danny Rampling mix from the same 12".
Which although completely different from the above track, is pretty tasty and piano-tastic from start to finish.

Number 3 for Lisa B!!!

The third posting on the PCC for Lisa B.
This was a big track in the clubs back in 1993.
It sounds a tad cheesy now and ghast I say it (again) a touch EuroPop.
However, back in the day it was a corking tune and was very effective on the dancefloor.
Lisa has lovely vocals and it's a really feel good track.
Enjoy (or slag me off if you don't like it!!!) Lol.
If you really hate it, then at least you can enjoy the picture!!

Oooh sometimes....

Now the great man didn't produce that many great remixes, but I totally love this one.
You probably all remember the original pop version which was a huge pop chart hit way back in 1986.
Well this was made in 1992 and I absolutely love it.
Very funky and very squelchy, but really, really catchy.
Ok you could say it's a bit cheesy, but a little cheese is an essential part of a healthy dance music diet!! Lol.
Enjoy - I'm think it's a corker.
Nice one Danny - you're a ledge fella (here he is with a little more hair than nowadays)!!!

Very glam indeed!!

Another big tune from back in the day.
This one was from 1993 and was IMHO one of Mr Rampling's finest remixes.
Although a great DJ and a true legend, he didn't produce too many great remixes, but this is probably one of his best.
Great vocals from the fabulous Lisa B, she was indeed "Glam".
Some great memories of groovin' to this one.
Enjoy!!

Here's another Balearic classic from Chris Rea!!!

Who would of ever thought that Chris Rea would have produced fantastic dance tracks.
Well here's another superb track, not quite up there with Josephine, but top drawer all the same.
Legend has it that Danny Rampling had been DJing at Shoom and on leaving the club and getting into a taxi, this was on the radio. He asked the Taxi driver to turn it up, liked it and then decided to play it at Shoom the following week to rapturous applause.
A great Balearic story!!! If anyone was at Shoom at remembers this being played, drop me a line.
Enjoy, its a classic!!

I'll be there for you!!

Another track with loads of bouncy piano, which brings back some great memories of Hard Times in Huddersfield.
The sort of track you'd expect when combining the remix talents of Stonebridge and the legend that is Danny R.
"I'll be there for you and I know you want me too"
