I know this has been posted before, but it's such a great track I felt worthy of a second post.
An absolute belter of a track from Matt Darey and absolutely hammered by Oakey in the late 90's.
When it kicked in at 1 min 42 secs the dancefloor would simply erupt!
Trance music at it's best, let me tell you.
The whole energy of this track is incredible from start to finish.
Love the piano bits that come in near the end.
Awesome track!!

There have been many many attempts to create a good dance mix of this pop classic, but none have come anywhere near except this one.
It keeps all the best bits of a great record and just dances it up enough.

This has always been my favourite Happy Mondays track (along with Hallelujah) and it just epitomises everything about them.
Raw, edgy, unpolished, but highly infectious.
I've still got the 12" somewhere in my garage.
Debatable how dance this is, but it's awesome all the same and I could imagine it going down a treat last track of the night!!

A bonafide old skool classic!!

Can't believe I've not posted this before now.
A real old classic from 1990.
This track was played out everywhere for about 18 months.
It was played by virtually every DJ going whether, house, techno etc and featured on almost all DJ mix tapes of that era.
To be honest I like it more now, than I did at the time.
A proper timeless classic.

It just puts me in a different place!
Worth checking the Pete Shelley version also which this is ripped from.

I haven't played this for ages and heard it again recently and it brought all the memories flooding back.
One of the greatest remixes of all time, it still sounds amazing.
This was truly ground breaking and further cemented the legend of Oakey.
Those were exciting times.
I particularly remember it being dropped at Back to Basics in Leeds back in '92 and the roof nearly came off

A little piece of trance heaven from the man like!!
I wasn't always a big fan of a lot of Sasha's productions as I often felt they were over hyped and failed to live up to the expectations.
Many were tool long and just took too long to kick off, they always felt self indulgent.
This however, is top notch and although over 11 minutes long it is captivating from start to finish.
A definite trance masterclass!!

I was never keen on the Sesame Street samples (I think it's Sesame Street but not sure as I always hated that annoying programme).
The track however is just timeless and brings back memories way back when it all began back in '88.
Always loved the piano in this.

Well if you put together two of clubland's most notorious club promoters (Dave Beer and Charlie Chester), who certainly enjoyed "the Perks" I guess you're bound to get something off the wall.
A really catchy little number which always brought a smile to my face and a chuckle as well.

I know I've posted this before on the blog, but can't seem to find it, so can only presume it was taken down.
Anyway a great excuse to re-post.
I believe that there is a new track which has just come out which rips this off.
In fact I was in the gym the other day when it came on the radio.
It is nowhere near this original classic though, which is just a masterpiece.
Lyrics, vocals and piano are top notch.
Funny, that the youth of today still have to steal our old classics to make music!!

"One Man" who contributed so much!! R.I.P. Frankie!!

I'm sure that you've all heard the very sad news that Mr Frankie Knuckles the Godfather of House music passed away just recently aged just 59 years young.
Anybody who has ever followed this blog will be aware of my huge admiration for Frankie and the music he both made and remixed, not forgetting his fantastic talents as a DJ.
He always was and always will be one of my all time favourite remixers and from the very early creation of house music in the 86/87, he has been the "One Man" who has consistently remained at the very top for nigh on 3 decades. "One Man" who never let you down!!
My respect cannot reach out strongly enough.
R.I.P. Frankie your music and talents have touched so many people and will never be forgotten.
I've posted  many of the tracks he made and remixed on this blog and I post this one in honour of the man who was Mr House Music!! (This one was remixed with Morales)
