And I'm too perfect!

Now I don't think I've ever posted a current UK No.1, but I couldn't resist is with this one.

Another great track from Lola Young, not quite as good as "Conceited" but still very edgy.

The remix is good and just gives it that dancefloor appeal.

Commercial hell yeah, PCC just about (by the skin of it's teeth).

Enjoy!

Lola Young - Messy

(Tiësto Remix)

All my tears have been used up!

Big fan of Tom Odell, who is supremely talented and produces the most amazing songs.

Here one of his classics is given the club treatment.

There are lots of remixes out there of this, but many are cheesy EDM trash.

This one is IMHO the pick of the bunch as it allows the beauty of the original track to really come to the fore and of course that glorious piano and the mazing haunting vocals.

A bit commercial maybe, but still very nice!

Tom Odell - Another Love

(Tiësto Extended Remix)

I won't compromise my point of view!

Cracking track from 2010.

Great vocals, great lyrics, a trusty Hex Hector remix and an all round corking track.

The lyrics in this are great and only endear the song.

The track has loads of peaks and builds and I can imagine it being dynamite when dropped at the peak hour in the clubs.

I won't compromise my point of view!

Absolutely not!

Deborah Cox - Absolutely Not

(Hex Hector Remix)

I just wanna praise ya!

Cracking house track from 2009 courtesy of a superb remix by Victor Calderone.

Here he turns a commercial track into a true PCC, with some top notch remix production.

It takes us on an epic journey with lots of great build ups, lulls and then kicking up a few more notches.

With clever use of the vocal it really creates a corking track.

The vocals at the very end of the track are epic, so stay with it.

The shackles are fully off for this one!

I just wanna praise ya!

Mary Mary - Shackles

(Victor Calderone's Big Room Mix)

Bring on the sunshine!

Whilst this has been around a few years now, it is always one which I love.

As with all his work PDM just adds that touch of class and makes a good track really great.

The way he works the tracks and just layers on exactly the correct amount of improvement in the key areas is the true art of a quality remixer.

This one fizzes and squelches delightfully.

Enjoy!

Milk & Sugar - Let The Sun Shine

(Purple Disco Machine Remix)

For the new school raiva!

Another new track heard on Parky's radio show and another banger.

Great build up and then it locks into a really fierce groove, continuing to build, slowing right down, then building again.

Very tasty track indeed.

Trikk x Meute - Raiva

Follow the legend!

Loving this which is brand new and very edgy.

I heard it on Parky's fabulous radio show and he described it as his favourite track of the moment.

Who am I to argue?

It is an belter of a track with some outstanding piano and some great African vocals.

Love the slow down and the build back up.

Enjoy!

Charles Webster X Muzi - Bakulindele

(Extended Mix)

I remember.....

An absolute monster of a track.

It's long but amazing throughout building beautifully and just blowing your brains as it peaks.

A fantastic piece of remix work by the Pachanga Boys with some delightful piano and just a supercharged track.

Again another big Keinemusik track.

True aural pleasure!

Röyksopp - Running to the Sea feat. Susanne Sundfør

(Pachanga Boys remix)

Got to rearrange our lives!

It's been a while since I posted a T-empo remix, but this is well worth the wait.

Their remix work was always of the highest quality, creating epic tracks with great piano breakdowns, very similar in style to B.I.R.

This is bit of a monster so strap yourself in (Pete Tong-ism).

Great vocals by Ruby as always.

Enjoy it's a beauty!

Ruby Turner - Change

(T´Empo's Don´t Phone Us We're In The Club Mix)

If you whisper in my eye!

If you think of Rozalla you immediately think of "Everybody's Free" or "Faith" which although were very good at the time, they were very overplayed and very, very commercial.

This one from 2015 is still pretty commercial, but just underground enough courtesy of a cracking piano-tastic Love To Infinity remix.

Rozalla - If You Say It Again

(Love To Infinity Club Mix)

Bliss!

Staying on the Keinemusik vibe, this is new-ish and sensational.

Some gorgeous French vocals and a mesmerising dreamy chilled trance vibe.

Sumptuous!

Emre Gulmez - Ressentir

Don't listen to a word I say!

Cracking remix of a classic indie track.

I really liked Of Monsters And Men and played their album My Head Is An Animal to death when it first came out in 2011.

This is a really clever and cheeky remix, very much in the Keinemusik Afro Beats stylee.

It is a really endearing and respects the original while giving it new life and energy.

The piano on this is immense.

Lovely!

Of Monsters and Men - Little Talks

(Hoax Afro House Remix)

Create a cosmic.....

Another great track regularly featured in Sasha sets in the early 90s, quite often with another track overlayered.

The mix with Ultracynic's - Nothing Is Forever is a really fond memory and caused absolute dancefloor mayhem, with not a dry eye in the house.

Legendary days.

Create a cosmic orgasm!

Ursula Hybsch ‎- Orgasm

(Intro)

Oooh ooh yeah!

Quite surprised that this one hasn't been posted before.

It was a biggie from that halcyon piano house era of 1991 and a regular track in Sasha's mix sets from that era.

Still sounds great all these years on.

Only your love can set me free!

Oooh ooh yeah!

PKA - Powergen

(Breaking Bones Mix)

Love is going to get you!

Loving this one a proper banger!

I've always been an absolute sucker for great piano and this has it in spades.

I bet this one goes down an absolute storm in clubs and will be massive in Ibiza this year.

You heard it here, so believe it.

Slightly reminiscent of Eric Prydz' monstrous Pjanoo.

Mark my words this will be a biggie!

Love is going to get you!

Notre Dame - Do For Your Love

Layers of vibe!

A couple of great new tracks I heard on Parky's radio show recently.

Both are very edgy and not that Parrky-esque but both great tracks.

This first one is very much in the Keinemusik Afro Beats style and is just quality.

Great layers of atmosphere which build, then slow, then build again.

Just lovely.

NatalieJane - Amanea

(Extended Mix)

I want it all!

Another of those monumental Freemason's remixes.

This was massive back in 2004 and 21 years on it's still sounds great.

B.E.D. is another James Wiltshire alias and I've run out of superlatives for his work most notably as Jimmy Gomez and one half of the Freemasons.

This track combines a lovely vocal from Chloe Myers with a widely sampled simple guitar hook which creates a lovely Balearic summer type feel.

B.E.D. feat. Chloe Myers - Before I Leave

(Freemasons Club Mix)

How do you like it!

Dance music doesn't always have to be bangin' and Disco is an era which we have to totally respect and which I very much love.

This is an all time disco classic which still sounds amazing and has been sampled many times.

Notably you'll here where "Steal my sunshine" pinched it's riff from.

Love this track, amazing production, great vocals, great groove with delightful piano throughout, not to mention all the fantastic trumpet.

Hard to believe this track is nearly 50 years old. Wow!

The Andrea True Connection - More, More, More

Actions speak louder than words!

Pretty decent track from 2000 by Angel Clivilles (ex wife of house legend Robert of C&C fame).

Angel was also lead singer of the Cover Girls.

About the track well is a touch commercial, but nevertheless it still kicks quite a bit and retains just enough oomph to be posted on the PCC blog, mainly thanks to the Johnny Vicious input.

Actions speak louder than words!

Angel Clivilles - Show Me

(Johnny Vicious Club Mix)

Ready for the anarchy?

Great to see Mr Morales has been working in the studio on his own material.

His status as a DJ and Remixer is already set in stone as one of house music's greatest.

This is a fine track and probably not one you'd expect.

Less housey and more vibey than his usual style, but it is very good and certainly hits the heights.

David Morales - Anarchy

Ready for the climax!

Not quite up there with the other 2 Analysis tracks already but still a pretty decent old skool piano banger.

These were the tunes which really lit up the dancefloors in the early 90's, proper "hands in the air" Italian piano house, old skool classics.

They still sound brilliant today, because quite simply very little could touch that era.

Vibe on!

Analysis - Climax

Welcome....to our temple of love!

Quality prog house track from 1996.

Another of those tracks with lots going on that pulls you in and kicks hard.

This combo created some great tracks and Casper Pound was very influential in the scene under many aliases.

Welcome....to our temple of love!

A Homeboy, A Hippie & A Funki Dredd - Welcome 1 N All
(Vocal)

Love and laughter!

Another sensational remix by one of my favourite house remixers E-Smoove.

His remixes were always right on point and he ruled strongly in the 90's.

Always combining great punchy beats with delightful piano which totally complemented the vocals.

You won't be surprised so much of his work is on the PCC blog and much more to come.

49ers - Got To Be Free

(E-Smoove's Groovy Mix)

As funky as it can get!

An absolute from way back in 1987.

This still sounds amazing and is just such a great track.

It has everything for me, that really lovely raw edge of early house music, lots of great samples, some great piano and just so much going on in the track that it keeps you totally engrossed.

To think this track is nearly 40 years old.

A pure club classic indeed!

2 Men A Drum Machine And A Trumpet - Make It Funky

On it!

Another great piece of  Keinemusik quality and afro chants.

This was a major part of a lot of their sets and it carries that typical Keinemusik feel of being heavily atmposheric, lots of chants, laid back chilled beats and of course delightful piano.

Keinemusik have really revolutionised house/dance music in recent years and I'd say they have created the most exciting era since trance in the late 90's/early 2000s.

All their tracks are just such delightful to listen to and bliss out to.

Pure Class!

&friends feat. Featuring El-Jay & Oluwadamvic - Ode Ireti

(Nitefreak Remix)

One you'll never forget!

Loving this one which is brand new and one regualrly championed by the legend that is Graeme Park.

It's got a really unique feeling with some quirky vocals and some cheeky lyrics (including a few expletives).

However, it creates a really effective groove with some delightful subtle bits of piano.

Nice!

Madame Electrifie - Never Forget

Maseev!

Absolutely quality piece of house music from 1994.

So many wonderful talents coming together on this one.

The stupendous vocals of the legendary Martha Wash, the production genius of C&C and the piano-tastic remix qualities of Loveland.

With that co-lab you are bound to have something special and that's just what it is.

Enjoy!

C&C Music Factory - I Found Love

(Loveland Remix)

Just sublime!

This brings back some great memories from 1992.

This was a monstrous track back then and at the forefront of the progressive house sound.

Alawys a big track at Back To Basics in Leeds for weeks on end.

Still sounds great today and that peak at 3.46 mins was an epic "hands in air" moment which blew the roof off.

Exciting times, great memories.

Immortal track! Just sublime!

Sublime - Sublime

(Dub)

Remember this one?

Having strayed a bit far down the commercial path for a few tracks let's bring it back to the underground.

Here's an old favourite from back in 1991 which always went down well.

A pretty unique track but catchy as hell and one which was played out loads in clubs.

I always like the bit that sounds like a frog croaking "dance and feedback????"

Nexy Lanton - You Too

(Club Mix)

Here's one for summer!

Love this, very catchy and very endearing, maybe a touch commercial for the PCC blog, but very easy listening and another track which just brings an instant smile to your face.

A great track for summer.

The piano is superb and I always love a track which slows and speeds up, there's nothing better for getting you moving!

The sax is also superb, especially when synced with the piano. Oh yes!

Enjoy!

Bakermat - Baianá

(Extended Mix)

The Prince Kaybee remix is also very tasty and well worth a listen and a post.

This is very much in a Keinemusik afro beats type vibe.

Both tracks are a little too short and would have been much better extended to 6 to 7 mins IMHO.

Bakermat - Baiana

(Prince Kaybee Remix)

Music Speaks Louder!

Love this track, just such a great groove and one which always brings a feel good factor.

Lots of great piano and just a great bounce-along-groove.

Has a old skool feel with a nu skool vibe.

Some great sax also.

Nice!

Doug Willis is of course another alias for the legendary DJ/Remixer/Producer Dave Lee, aka Joey Negro.

Doug Willis - Music Speaks Louder Than Words

(Micky More & Andy Tee Piano Mix)

I don't want to be, another page; in your diary!

Staying on the Sgt Slick vibe, another track which is remixed to perfection.

The original was so iconic and was a true Balearic anthem in it's own right, but just like the Depeche track posted below, this is sensational.

Using the exact same formula increasing the tempo, underpinning a house beat and tweaking and enhancing all the best bits of the original.

The output is another sensational remix of an all time classic.

Let's also not forget the amazing qualities of Alf and Vince.

I don't think her vocals ever sounded as good and Vince's production is as always close to perfection.

 Yazoo - Nobody's Diary

(Sgt Slick Recut Extended)

Words like violence, break the silence!

Fantastic remix of such an iconic track.

There have been so many attempts to remix this successfully and almost all have failed by a long way (with the exception of the Mike Koglin reworking previously posted).

This however is exemplar, like most of Sgt Slick's remixes he doesn't make massive wholesale changes, just enhances bits, adds a little extra pace and infuses a pumping house beat.

This has always been one of my fave Depeche tracks and this remix is top notch.

No need for silence. Just Enjoy!

Depeche Mode - Enjoy The Silence

(Sgt Slick ReCut)

So tiny that they blow away like dust!

Cracking track from Just Jack, I really liked his work.

Bimbo Jones could always be relied on for a quality remix.

Corking groove, great vocals and an all round banger,

So tiny that they blow away like dust!

Just Jack - Embers

(Bimbo Jones Extended Club Mix)

Prepare to be electrified!

Liking this which is brand new and very enticing.

Heard it recently on Parky's excellent Radio show, which always keeps me in check with best new grooves in clubs.

It's good a laid back groove, but very some nice piano and also some pretty choice vocals with a few well placed expletives.

Prepare to be electrified!

Enjoy!

Madame Electrifie - Never Forget

Miles of miles on my own!

Love London Grammar, love Tinlicker, put them together, heaven.

This is just such a delightful piece of melodic vocal trance.

Very much a beautiful thing.

Those amazing vocals, send shivers down my spine.

Sumptuous!

London Grammar - Truth Is A Beautiful Thing

(Tinlicker Rework)

Tinlicking good!

Loved some of the tracks Robyn did and I thought she had the making of being another P!nk, huge praise there.

Tinlicker are usually right on the money with their remixes and this takes a great track and makes it very dancefloor friendly.

Top notch!

Robyn ft Kleerup - With Every Heartbeat

(Tinlicker Edit)

Sing me all the songs you love!

Hi Peeps, apologies for the lack of posts over the last 6 weeks, just been crazy busy.

Hey, but that's the beauty of the blog I can pick things up when I have some free time and when I come across new great tracks.

This is another piece of quality of master remixing by that man the PDM.

Just love his stuff, he is like the Luvdup of the current generation. always on point with great remixes and DJ sets.

Just another quality track, this one is from a few years back in 2016 but contains some great vocals and a lovely smooth rhythm delivery and a modified steel drum sounding loop which is great.

Love the line "Sing me all the songs you love!"

Lush - just breathe!

Seeb feat. Neev - Breathe

(Purple Disco Machine Remix)

Just "Bryllyant!"

The title says it all a new beat classic out of Belgium which was a big track at Shoom and very much part of the Acid House hey day.

It still sounds great today, so imagine how unique it must have sounded almost 40 years ago.

Quality never dies.

Simply "Bryllyant!"

Boytronic - Bryllyant

(33 1/3 Plus 8 Remix)

Quick as a flash!

Corking track from 1996.

Not as popular or as overground as their "7 Days And One Week" track, but pretty spanking all the same.

This was the type of track that made the dancefloor pulse and throb.

B.B.E. - Flash

(Club Mix)

City streets are wet again!

Love this.

Annie has always had an amazing vocal and is a true legend.

Gabriel & Dresden are always spot on with their remixes and hence we have a top quality track.

It just has such an amazing feel and aura about it.

Just lovely.

Annie Lennox - Pavement Cracks

(Gabriel & Dresden Club Mix)

Don't be in denial!

A beautiful piece of trance from 2008.

Just everything you need in a trance track, delightful ethereal vocals by Floria Ambra cocooned around a gorgeous, luxurious melodic and atmospheric trance vibe.

Just delightful.

Enjoy!

Airbase feat Floria Ambra - Denial

(Original Mix)

Bring it back!

Great house track from 1998.

Great vocals, great rhythm, great touches of piano and all round very polished.

Not quite as powerful as "Hold On" by 95 North which is a huge fave of mine, but a classy piece of house music all the same.

95 North Feat. Laura Harris - Bring Back The Love

(Club Mix)

Saturday, 1 February 2025

Feel that funky guitar!

Quite surprised I haven't posted this one before now.

This was a killer tune at Back To Basics in Leeds back in 1994.

It was one of those tracks which was played by all the top jocks of that era and always went down a storm.

It feels a touch dated now, but still remains as a Progressive House classic.

Floorjam - Stoneage

Nobody told us!

Another exquisite remix by Sgt Slick, this really is a touch of class.
I'm sure you're all familiar with the track, but this has been superbly remixed and gives it such a wonderful classical feel.

The production is just superb.

Elton never sounded so good.

Nobody knows it!

Elton John & Kiki Dee - Don't Go Breaking My Heart
(Sgt Slick's Multitrack ReCut)

Tonight it's party time!

Alright, I know another questionable post for the PCC Blog, but hey this was a serious club tune before it went mainstream.

When it was first played in clubs back in 1994 it always went down really well and had a great reaction on the dancefloor.

Yes, it does sound very dated and overly commercial, but it is still very much a PCC.

This is the best (most underground) mix.

Enjoy - because "tonight it's party time!"

Alex Party - Read My Lips

(Rhyme Time Party)

Do you wanna go high?

Every time I hear this track it takes me right back to the Hacienda in 1994 (30 years ago - Wow!).

A corking house track, mixed by the legend GP and often played in his sets back in the day.

It is a true house classic and has everything you could wish for in a great house track.

Superb vocals, a great rhythm, killer beats and some classy piano.

Do you wanna go high!

Loni Clark - Love's Got Me (On A Trip So High)

(Parkside Club Mix)

Nice to meet you!

When I first heard this track, I thought way too cheesy, but then it just grew on me massively.

It has such an endearing and calming appeal to it and is one that certainly brings a smile to your face.

Just a cracking little track from 1994 to cheer you up if you are ever feeling in the doldrums.

Bigs thanks to Ed for this one, my long time musical brother over in the US.

Nice to meet you, oh how do you do!

Enjoy people!

Aderna- We Can Fall In Love

(Europe Club Mix)

A taste of the East!

This is new and very tasty, heard recently on Graeme Park's fantastic radio show.

I must say hats off to GP as he is every bit the house legend.

There from the very early days of house back in 1986 with his residency at the Garage in Nottingham, then of course his epic stint at the Hac.

Almost 40 years on he still has his finger very much on the house music pulse and will always be one of my all time fave DJs - a proper legend!

About the track, well it's pretty unique and very appealing with a great pulsating rhythm and Indian chants, it's got a pace and energy that just hooks you in.

Nice!

Rami Imam - Bombay Sundown

I blame you for moonlight skies..

A very questionable post this one as it is high on the cheeseometer.

However, it has just come down on the right side thanks to a great Rob Searle remix and coupled with the fact that the original song was a really good pop song.

Anyway a little bit of cheese is a key part of a healthy musical diet.

I blame you for moonlight skies

Enjoy!

Aurora featuring Naimee Coleman - Sleeping Satellite

(Rob Searle Vocal Mix)
