Another Time (less) track!

A fantastic trance track from 1998 and one hammered by Oakie.

It contains everything you'd expect from a bangin' trance track.

There are a few different remixes of this, but I still go back to the original as being the best.

Enjoy!

Dream Traveler - Time

(Original Mix)

Here comes the Techno Cat!

Really surprised I've not posted this before, as it's an absolute corker of a track from 1994.

It's one of those track which was absolutely electric in clubs and would send everybody crazy.

The build up and then breakdown is one of the very best accompanied by a huge drum roll.

The fact that it then slows down and builds up again, makes it even more epic.

A definitive PCC!

Tom Wilson - Techno Cat

(Dance Like Your Dad Mix)

Shiva, Shiva!

Another amazing track from The Visions of Shiva a combination of Paul Van Dyk and Cosmic Baby, hence you'd expect it to be good.

Not quite as electric as "Perfect Day", but pretty epic all the same.

A really great track with so much variety and feel in it.

Probably a bit less dancefloor friendly (than the "Physical" remix), but better IMHO.

Get on it!

Baby I love everything that you do.....for me!

Another cracking track from Incognito with two very fine remixes.

Baby I love everything that you do.....for me!

This T-empo remix is excellent and a lot more housey than their customary epic remixes, it is nonetheless top notch and right up there with the high standard they set.

IMHO it outshines the S-Man remix which is also very good (as per usual).

Incognito were one of those music acts which were a bit dull for my tastes, but came alive when remixed effectively as Roger S has done on several of their tracks.

Which mix does it for you?

Incognito - I hear your name

(T-empo's Summer Vibes 12')

Incognito - I Hear Your Name

(Roger's Ultimate Anthem Mix)

I'll take you there!

Another classic PSB-TE collaboration.

The Pet Shop Boys have stood the test of time as one of the great pop/dance acts.

When remixed by the Trouser Enthusiasts it just goes up another level.

This is another fantastic remix creating an epic monster of a track.

It has a beautiful breakdown as well as the traditional pumping TE sound.

Neil's vocals are just so distinctive and an ideal foil for dance music.

The breakdown is very reminiscent of Oakey's legendary - Orange Mix, but that is a complement.

A great track.

Enjoy!

Join the Q!

Another track which I'm surprised I haven't posted on the blog before now.

An absolute classic which still sounds amazing.

Mental Cube were another alias for Future Sound of London.

Those acid squelchy sounds were so original and exciting back then and still sound great today.

A timeless house classic from 1991.

I'll be giving you my body and my soul!

Surprised I haven't posted this one before.

Another huge banger of a remix from my all time fave dance duo, the legends that were Chris and James.

One of the great perks of running this blog back int' day was "meeting" them through it and having their contribution and input.

This is in their traditional remix vane, just an absolute banger with lots of great piano and so much uplifting energy.

Chris and James made some amazing, amazing tracks many of which are posted on the PCC blog.

It always saddens me that they not truly got the acclaim their musical genius deserved.

However, they can bask in the glory that their tracks and utterly timeless and still sound amazing to this very day.

Hats off to you chaps!

I'll be giving you my body and my soul!

P.S. If you've never checked out their Essential Mix from 1994 (of course it's on the PCC blog - it still remains as the greatest mix set of all time IMHO.

Get on it!

Perks Of Living Society - Body And Soul

(Chris And James Undertones Of House Mix)

Musical perfection!

One of the all time great dance tracks - a true masterpiece and as all classics still sound amazing to this day and will do forever.

I've posted the Larry Levan remix on the PCC blog previously which I believe was the version played at the Paradise Garage.

However, I have to confess to liking this version better.

Why, well because it contains those fabulous vocals from the Three Degrees.

Love is, love is the message that I sing to you

Love is the message that I bring to you

Love is the message for us all!

The musical production, all the different instruments from the Orchestra and notably the saxophone, are all truly momentous.

An epic masterpiece.

Enjoy!

Quality (S)house music!

Loving this track at the moment, it's new which is break from the tradition of the PCC blog.

However, I'm confident it will indeed be a club classic and hence worthy of PCC status.

The tracks got a superb vibe about it and just flows so effectively.

It reminds me somewhat of Kraftwerk's - Trans Europa Express.

A really great track.

Get on it!

Welcome into my Queendom!

I really dislike Hip Hop, but Hip-House that is a different matter.

I love hip-house, it combines them both and makes track just so funky and catchy.

This is a great example, great rapping by Queen Latifah.

Welcome into my Queendom!

Quality hip-house track, with lots of familiar samples.

This track has been posted before, but I think this mix is a little more hip-housey compared to the Richie Rich housier version!

Enjoy!

Queen Latifah - Come Into My House

(Julian 'Jumpin' Perez Mix)

Piano-tastic!

Another classic piece of house magic from 1991.

Very piano-tastic with lots of lovely acid stabs.

Plain simple, but so effective and devastating on the dancefloor.

Enjoy!

Watanabe - Odoru

Close to house music perfection!

I can't quite believe I haven't posted this before, an absolute seiminal track from 1987.

It still sounds amazing today some 36 years later.

Totally timeless.

The legend that is, Marshall Jefferson behind this one.

Close to house music perfection!

Enjoy!
