Such a great track from way back in 1985, which 40 years on still sounds great.
It starts a little steady with a fairly slow tempo, but then really picks up about half way through when it suddenly becomes a lot more dance orientated and then just continues to grow from there.
When the piano kicks in then it really starts to take off.
Quality track from 1995 which just appears to be plodding along, but then explodes with some great piano which transforms it into an absolute banger.
The power of piano is never to be underestimated, it's presence in so many tracks make the difference between plodder and corker and this is a great example.
This is a few weeks old now, but really liking this track at the moment.
Michael Gray has been around the scent for several decades producing fantastic house music under his various guises, as Greed, Hustlers Convention, Full Intention to name just a few.
His formula is tried and tested and all his work entails great vocals and great piano to produce house classics.
Quite possibly one of my favourite Christmas songs and possibly the only credible Christmas song which could be granted PCC status.
I've always loved everything Saint Etienne right from the very beginning back in 1990 with their epic first two releases "Only Love Can Break Your Heart" and "Kiss and Make Up" which I still have both on 12".
Since then have continued to produce brilliant Indie Pop records which when remixed have produced some fantastic PCCs which have already been posted.
This track is a great jolly and energetic dance/pop track with great vocals (as always) by Sarah Cracknell and joined by Tim Burgess (lead singer and frontman of The Charlatans).
If there was ever a track I could picture as being played at Cafe Del Mar this would be up there.
It starts and finishes with the noise of the waves washing up on the sea shore, a la outside Cafe Del Mar, then drops into the beautiful melodic 98bpm Balearic beats, gorgeous female vocals and some delightful piano.
It starts off with a real groove and then just keeps on building and fizzing, slowly drawing you in, then slows and you perhaps think it's not going to really go anywhere and then the piano is unleashed and it kicks and just keeps on kicking.
Another track from Parky's radio sure - keep 'em coming legend!
How do you remix such an epic classic without ruining it?
Well this is a fine example, I'd say that the remix doesn't had a huge amount to the original version, but that's probably a bit of an impossible task.
This is one of my real favourite tracks and always put me in a different place.
The combination of musical talents on this with Bernard, Jonny, Neil and Chris is just off the scale and they combine and complement so effectively.
This track is just genius and the remix just allows it to flow by virtually playing the original twice.
I'd like to dedicate this to all the lovers in the house!
Farley and Heller were always so consistent with their remixes and although I felt some of their stuff was a touch "too US" on occasions, this was certainly one of their top notch remixes.
Superb vocals by the legendary Michael Watford, one of the great house vocalists for amny years and sadly no longer with us.
The piano in this track aligned to the Fire Island percussive beats make this a real stand out track.
Great reworking of the classic Soul Providers track which was huge back in the late 90s.
This has reworked the fabulous Michelle Shelley vocals from the original and also tinkled with other aspects of the production to give it a great fresh and new feel.
Great to hear this again and I'm sure it will be a biggie in the clubs.
Clubland made some absolutely corking tracks and although this is not quite up there with "Love Strain" it is still a very well produced and exciting track.
Great vocals once again by Zemya and some delightful piano by Eric Kupper.
Just lovely and I'd say a very underated and underplayed track.
