Dear Fellow Dance Music Lovers,
This blog brings you the best in Dance Music and Club Classics; from early 87 (back in the daze) through to the present day.
For all those who rocked it all night until the early hours, to those that lived for clubbing and couldn't wait for the weekend to arrive. Enjoy and leave any comments on the blog or contact direct by email at pureclubclassics@live.co.uk
This was another that went under the radar, but it a super little old skool Italo house track.
A touch cheesey and yes this one does sound a little dated, but it has that old skool charm that brings a smile to the face especially when the piano kicks in.
New Order will always be one of my favourite bands and it was great to see them last year at Wythenshawe Park in Manchester and they certainly didn't disappoint.
This is a catchy remix, which effectively uses Bernard's unique vocal and a looped guitar riff to good effect.
Certainly not their strongest track, but a corking one all the same.
Always had a thing for Natalie and her pop career was great.
However. very of her tracks ever made the dancefloor.
This is a tasty little remix from the legend that is Mr Allister Whitehead - always one of my favourite DJs from the circuit back in the early 90's.
Allister didn't make that many remixes, but this is delightful and very typical of his house sets, great music tinged with piano.
Natalie's vocals are always stand out and it all combines to provide a great little PCC.
It does however, always leave me thinking it could have been even better if it had a second peak and a bigger piano breakdown. I'm thinking more like Anthony White - Love Me Tonight vibes.
Enjoy!
P.S. The Way Out West remixes of this track and pretty poor (very unlike WoW - who are usually amazing).
This track was huge back in 1992 and was one of the first break beat tracks.
The classic piano riff was ripped from one of my favourite tracks "Sterling Void - Don't Wanna Go" and also used very well in Outrage - Tall N' Handsome (both of which were posted on the PCC blog many years ago)..
This track still contains the same energy and vibe which made it such a big club track back in '92.
Where as the last track was classic house and very underground, this one is much more commercial but nonetheless it still has a great appeal and dancefloor edge.
Lots of energy, some great vocals and of course a great remix from the 7th Heaven team.
Love this, with it's continuous piano loops it really creates a great dance floor vibe.
A few samples and vocals would really complement it and add something extra to it, but I can imagine it would be great on the dancefloor in clubs and work really well to mix in and out of.
I didn't realise this when I originally posted it, but it's main riff is sampled from an old Balearic classic from 1989 posted on the PCC blog many years ago, "Humanoid - Crystals (Back Together)".
Much more indie dance than club dance, but still a great track.
You buried me
Right where I belonged
You buried me
Right where I belonged
And still, I'm waiting there
On division st
I would like to find the answers I was always rudely denied
A song so sweet
From back when I was born
The loving creak
Of floorboards by the door
Hopeful I waited, hopeful I called
But no one would answer at all
On division st
I would like to find the answers I was always rudely denied
The remix is much more like a Frankie Knuckles remix, super silky and super smooth and hence his influence via Def Mix was certainly being closely studied by Morales.
Great vocals and such a superb classic house feel.
This track should have been way bigger that it was, 35 years on it still sounds absolutely epic.
Classic house music indeed!
Going to take you higher!
