All my life, I've been waiting for something like this!

I just love PDM productions and remixes they are just always so on point.

I'd go as far as to say he is my favourite producer/remixer of current times.

Pretty much every track he touches is pure gold.

There are loads on the blog already and many more to come.

This is just yet another pure PDM fantastic house/disco groove which just pulls you in and encapsulates you.

It may not be quite underground enough for some of the purists, but I've always loved a slightly commercial edge and think PDM tracks always stay on the right (underground) side of the over/underground divide.

All my life, I've been waiting for something like this!

Get on it and enjoy!

Purple Disco Machine & The Magician - All My Life

(Extended Mix)

Lots of happy faces from different places!

Love this and loved the whole Italo Disco vibe.

It was way before my time, but I bet it was a very exciting time in clubs when these tracks were dropped as they were just so mesmerising and great to dance to.

This one dates back to 1983 but still sounds amazing 40 odd years on.

Lots of happy faces from different places!

Style is temporary, class is forever!

Fun Fun - Happy Station

(Original 12'' Mix)

Sample-tastic!

A bit of a hidden gem from 1991 which deserved more airplay.

Lots of sampling from many classic tracks but this shouldn't detract from it's appeal.

It's like a mega mix mash up of so many tracks yet still has a real bit of uniqueness about it.

Just another old skool beauty that still sounds great 35 years later.

G.P.A. - I'm Gonna Win

(Club Version)

It's going to be alright!

This is just so good on so many levels.

Firstly a great re-working by Messrs Farley and Heller under their Fire Island guise.

Then there is those fantastic vocals by the legendary Loleatta.

The track in itself is a great cover of a very good Style Council track from 1985.

To top it all off, it's had a great refresh and resprinkle by HiFi Sean, which adds extra life and energy.

Quality co-labs going on all over the place on this.

Fire Island Feat. Loleatta Holloway - Shout To The Top

(Hifi Sean Mix)

Baby this time I know!

Love this track, just another example of house music perfection.

Amazing production, fantastic remix work by DL/JN and oh those vocals by Kathy and the Sisters are just delightful.

A really fantastic house track which suits every mood.

Pure class!

Sister Sledge ft. Kathy Sledge - You Fooled Around

(Dave Lee fka Joey Negro Fooled Around With Mix)

You make the world....

Surprised this hasn't been posted before, a real old skool banger from 1992.

Some great piano and a that quality hands in the air old skool vibe.

Some pretty powerful female vocals which sound great.

Another corker of a track.

Solo - So Beautiful

(Phantasia Remix)

I believe in you and me!

Not quite as epic as Love So Strong or As Always, but pretty tasty all the same.

Some great piano throughout and a strong vibe, but just never quite reaches the peaks for me.

Quality all the same just not quite epic.

I believe in you and me!

Secret Life - She Holds the Key

(Play Boys Club Mix)

Let's all stand up!

Decent little re-working using some very familiar samples.

Any track that uses the Raul Orellana - The Real Wild House sample has to be a winner in my book.

This uses it to good effect and creates a really good vibe then bringing in the great vocals.

A little belter of a track!

Skinnee - Feel Free

(Club Mix)

Gotta to get funky!

A quality old skool track which is actually from 2015 and not 1991 (as you'd think).

It's classic Italo Piano House just like all those we loved back in 1991.

They should make more tracks like this nowadays as you just can't beat that Italo Piano House sound.

Love the Hip House rap as well.

Vibe on!

Baccacha - Party To Party

(Club Mix)

I need a new...

Not heard this for a while, then I heard it on Parky's excellent radio show and it just sounded so great.

A real house classic from 1998.

The production by D-Influence is first class, the lyrics are great and of course the sumptuous Ultra Naté vocals are heavenly.

Just pure class!.

Ultra Naté - New Kind Of Medicine

(Original Extended Vocal Mix)

We keep our love hidden!

One of many fantastic remixes that DFP did on Chic tracks.

This just puts a smile on one's face.

A laid back lush intro and then kicks in the classic Chic guitar riffs and vibes, with some superb vocals.

A really great track with a superb remix.

My love is forbidden, we keep our love hidden!

Enjoy!

Chic - My Forbidden Lover

(Dimitri From Paris Remix)

Ahead of time?

Possibly on the verge of being a tad too commercial but a banger all the same.

Plenty of quality in here and a track which really shook the dancefloor.

It contains all the classic trance ingredients and fizzes, builds, slows, builds again.

I really love the slow synth stabs in this, real nice.

Blank & Jones - Beyond Time

(Club Mix)

Don't go!

Anyone from my era will well remember the awful Saturday night TV fodder we all used to tune in to if we ever weren't going out called The Hitman and Her - presented by (the hot) Michaela Strachan and the (not so hot) Pete Waterman.

It ran from 1988 to 1992 and was both tragic and addictive at the same time.

It featured night life in the Shazzy clubs across the country (full of piss heads), then it used to show the odd dance/rave club night which was hilarious as Pete just couldn't get his head around the scene.

Anyway this was the theme tune from the show, which is pretty commercial in itself, but quite catchy and brought back some funny memories from a great era.

Enjoy!

Timerider - Cocoon

(Dance Version)

It's the reason that I breathe!

My love for Diana is eternal and PDM is not too far behind.

Diana's voice is just so unique, pure and soothing - simply gorgeous.

Here PDM retains the essence of those great vocals and just disco-ifies it up, as he does.

Delightful!

Diana Ross - I Still Believe

(Purple Disco Machine Remix Extended)

Pump this, pump this, pump this party!

Cracking track from 1994 which always went down well and was full of life.

No doubt named after the good old amyl nitrate aka Liquid Gold which was an omnipresent feature on every club dancefloor back then.

Love the key changes and tempo increases 5 mins in which just adds to the appeal.

Pump this, pump this, pump this party!

Cracking little track!

Poppers - Poppers

(Original Mix)

Into cruise control!

So much going on in this track, you can't help but love it.

Most notable sample is Orbital's - Chime, but there is lots of other sample pilfering going on.

Great work as always by Frankie Bones.

Radical Rhythms - Put Your Body In Cruise Control

Feel the groove!

More creative genius by the ever fantastic LuvDup Twins; Mark and Adrian.

They are one of the DJ and remixers who have always been on it throughout my love of dance music from the early 90's to this very day.

This is such a quality track which starts off steady, but builds in momentum to deliver a huge piano breakdown which just blows the roof.

Very typical LuvDup and very very good!

Listen out for the cheeky use of the Hashim - Al-Naafiysh (The Soul) sample.

Delightful!

Paninaro - Wildstyle Groove

(LuvDup's Homey & A Handbag Remix)

Oh my love's for real!

From the real Madonna to The Blessed Madonna.

This is about 12 months old and delightful.

A beautiful superbly produced dance track with some delightful piano.

Great to hear quality dance music still being produced amongst all the commercial crap.

Oh my love's for real!

Enjoy!

The Blessed Madonna, Daniel Wilson, Kon

- Count On My Love

Heard it all before?

Always loved Madonna and I don't think her Queen of Pop moniker will ever be toppled.

She was true genius who ruled for decades through the 80s, 90s, 00s with frequent chameleon like image changes always shocking, always trailblazing and always accompanied by brilliant music tracks.

A lot of her earlier career didn't have too much dancefloor appeal, more so the latter part.

This is a fine example with a great remix by Oakey, just using the great Madonna vocal prowess to great effect.

Nothing to be sorry about!

Madonna - Sorry

(Paul Oakenfold Remix)

One fierce mutha!

Love this track from 1990 - raw and edgy with a great fizzing acid groove.
Quality house music made for the dancefloor, simple yet so effective.
Still sounds great 45 years on.
I bet it would still rock any decent club dancefloor.
Enjoy!

33 1/3 Queen - Turn This Mutha Out

Voice of an angel!

One of my all time favourite female vocalists.

Valarie's vocals just take me to a different place.

She should have been huge and had so much talent.

Also check out her work under the Novocento moniker.

I remember when I first her vocals on Day and Night it literally blew me away.

This one is a great piece of Italo Disco, but it's Valarie's exquisite vocals which shine through.

Sit back, listen and enjoy!

Valerie Dore - Get Closer

(Gerd Janson Edit)

Oh baby!

More classic house from back imt'day and more quality remix production from the super consistent Eric Millar.

Great vocals, nice groove and fantastic piano creates a very fine house track which over 40 years later still sounds superb and not a bit dated.

Quality always shines through.

Danni'elle Gaha - Stuck In The Middle

(E-Smoove Groovy Extended Version Remix)

We used to party!

Cracking track from 2015 which uses many samples and some very well trodden lyrics.

It's just got a nice simple feel good factor to it and the piano gives it that extra bit of spice.

We used to party!

We certainly did!

Crazibiza - Shelter

(Original Mix)

I know you will!

A quality house track from 1999 with a corking David Morales remix.

Great vocals, great groove and great piano.

What more could you want?

Charlotte - Someday

(David Morales Extended Mix)

Girl I'll house you!

Fantastic deep house remix by Mr Morales with some great piano.

A deep throbbing groove with very little Brother Beyond, just lots of great piano and some good sax thrown in also.

House music doesn't have to be complex to hit the spot and this one certainly does.

Girl I'll house you!

Brother Beyond ‎– The Girl I Used To Know

(Red Zone Mix)

Are you tired of your life?

Quite surprised I've not posted this before as it was a huge track back in 1992.

It was like one of the first mash ups (before there were mash ups) combining Bizarre Inc's - Playing With Knives, with Blue Pearl's - Naked In The Rain, which were in themselves both big tracks.

This always went down a storm and never failed to lift the roof.

Are you tired of your life? Why don't you change it?

Great memories of great times!

Blue Pearl - (Can You) Feel The Passion

(Zen Mix)

We made it!

Another great track which I first heard on Parky's radio show a few months back and I'd finally managed to track down.

This is a superb piece of house music thanks to a great remix.

Any track which has piano from the outset usually grabs my attention and this just further complements some great vocals and some excellent production.

Just an all round great groove which creates such a postive and upbeat vibe.

Annie & The Caldwells – I Made It

(A Musclecars Production)

Every single night!

Enjoying this at the moment which has been out a few months but is relatively new.

A touch commercial for my tastes but with enough dancefloor credibility thanks to another smashing PDM remix.

PDM is just both so prolific and always very much on point, maybe slightly overground for some of the house purists, but for me always creates dancefloor music which hits the sweet spot.

The co-labs on this tracks work really effectively with all the different elements combining really well to keep you fully entertained throughout.

Get on it!

Lisa feat. Doja Cat & Raye - Born Again

(Purple Disco Machine Remix)

My friends say I'm lucky!

This is new and pretty tasty and has been getting plenty of air play by the legend that is Mr Park.

It starts off as a Ru Paul type voice over under a throbbing bassline and then the vocal kicks in and it starts to gain momentum, then it builds further and the piano kicks in and it really starts to take off.

It then rocks throughout and no doubt will be huge in clubs and especially Ibiza.

You heard it hear first (well actually you didn't hats off to Parky!).

Enjoy!

Juiceppe - If I Had A Choice

Saturday, 7 June 2025

Oh yeah, oh yeah!

Yet another barnstorming remix by Pete Bones.

That guy simpl,y doesn't do timid remixes, they are always of epic proportions.

This one vibes and fizzles gradually building to the piano explosion that you know is going to come.

Progressive house at it's very finest here.

Oh yeah, oh yeah!

Fade - All I Got

(Pete Bones Shaker Remix)

And I want you!

Another piece of quality from our Aussie friend Sgt Andy.

Just tinkling and tweaking an already stunning piece of pop music.

Annie's voice is just so heavenly and Dave's music arrangements and production was always close to perfection.

Eurythmics - Love Is A Stranger

(Sgt Slick's Melbourne ReCut)

Free for you and me!

Yet another sensational TE remix.

This one from 1998 creates another epic track.

Great vocals (as always) from Sarah Washington who was a real talent.

My love for all things TE never waivers and this is very much reason why.

Joy is free, free for you and me!

Dive feat. Sarah Washington - Joy is Free

(Trouser Enthusiasts Broken Circle Mix)

Come on!

Many house purists marvel at the genius of "Little" Louie Vega and Kenny "Dope" Gonzalez under their Masters at Work guise.

For me they've never really appealed and for one main reason, most notably the distinct lack of piano in most of their production and remix work, which tends to leave it dull and uninspiring for me.

This one is an exception and the added piano alongside their great house production with Mick's distinctive vocals creates a really quality piece of house music.

Does it thrill me, not quite but it is very good and certainly a PCC!

Simply Red - Thrill Me

(The Masters At Work House Mix)

Dance; a little closer!

Classy bit of solid goal disco.

You can be pretty sure that anything Dave touches is a stamp of quality.

The beauty of the instruments and production of disco tracks still beats anything that's produced today and that's why everyone just pilfer samples and very rarely create anything new and unique.

The original of this track dates back to 1978 and it's hard to believe that nearly 50 years on most dance music production (and the distinct lack of originality) is miles away from those lofty heights.

Enjoy the pure gold!

Saturday Night Band - Come On Dance, Dance

(Dave Lee Disco Mix)

Blowing my mind!

This is brand new and one I heard on Parky's fantastic radio show recently.

From start to finish this piano driven groover has you bopping along nodding your head and just itching to get those feet moving.

This will be massive in clubs and could well be a big track in Ibiza this year.

As funky as hell.

Vibe on!

Elado - Funk Machine

Ok, why not, one more try!

Another fantastic track from Reznik & Mikesh and the Keinemusik stable.

This one is a couple of years old, but is totally stunning.

The track is vibing along nicely, but then just wait for the epic piano drop, truly beautiful.

Those Keinemusik guys have completely elevated the current dance scene with their Afro House genre.

In my opinion it is the most exciting new dance genre since the euphoric days of trance in the late 90's.

Get on it!

Reznik & Mikesh — One More

Show me the way!

Yet more musical delight from the Keinemusik stable.

This one is still pretty new and just a couple of months old.

Very unique and encapsulating all the same.

It has Turkish vibes and uses a hook which sounds like a sitar.

The piano breakdown is just heavenly though.

"Show me the way"

Quality!

Reznik & Mikesh - One And Only

Stuck in the middle!

Cracking classic house track from 1994 which still sounds great.

Great vocals, superb piano, infectious house groove, what more could we want.

Even a great bit of sax.

Classy!

Ambassadors Of Swing Feat. Peter Hall & Antonia Lucas

- Feeling good  (Original Vocal Mix)

Sunday, 1 June 2025

Love is you, you're it's smile!

A smiply beautiful disco track from 1976 almost 50 years old, wow!

You can hear where Spiller's - Groovejet pilfered all it's material and hooks.

Amazing production, amazing vocals and just exquisite musical instruments, they certainly don't make them like this anymore. I think there's even a glockenspiel in this one!

Great remix work by Tom Moulton just refreshing it and giving it a bit more edge.

A true disco classic!

Carol Williams - Love Is You

(Tom Moulton Mix)

Reach for the skies!

An absolute trance masterpiece by the Belgian trance producer Laurent Véronnez better known under his Airwave persona.

This is delightful piece of quality trance music which takes you on a journey with lots of builds and breaks.

20 odd years on, it still sounds pretty epic.

Enjoy!

Cape Town - Touch The Skies, Talk To The Stars

If you want it, you gotta go....

Latest release from the Keinemusik stable and a main stay of many of their recent mix sets.

Sublime as usual with beautiful piano chords and some great male vocals.

Just quality all round, only slight criticism being it's a touch short for a dance track and could do with at least another couple of minutes.

Great track though!

Keinemusik, Boys Noize feat. Vinson - Crazy For It

Sweet but different!

Great fast paced remix of the Eurythmics classic.

Rob Searle always creates some really energetic and vibrant remixes and this is one such example.

Possibly a bit cheesy for the purists, but catchy all the same and I could well imagine it popping off nicely if dropped in a club.

Open your mind and enjoy!

C & A - Sweet Dreams

(Rob Searle Vocal Mix)

Old vs. New?

Two very different remixes of this Moby track.

The Perfecto remix from 2000 is classic Oakey in his Goa trance vibe and is a really great remix, which still sounds superb 25 years on.

Then there is a very new remix from BLOND:ISH, and Kiko Franco which is very much in the current Afro House vibe, which contains some great piano.

Both great and just examples of the art of remixing using the same base but creating completely different vibes.

You don't have to choose, just enjoy them both.

Moby - Natural Blues

(Perfecto Remix)

Moby, BLOND:ISH, Kiko Franco - Natural Blues

(Extended Mix)
