There's only one thing left for sure!

Heard this track on a Purple Disco Machine mixset recently and just had to post it.

Kim Wilde was pretty hot stuff in the early 80s and although this wasn't one of her big hits, it was probably one of her best tracks and still sounds amazing today.

Hats off to a cracking remix here by Moreno J he has done a brilliant job of enhancing the original version.

Love Kim's vocals very earthy and captivating.

Pure class!

Kim Wilde - Cambodia

If I could turn you on!

12 minutes plus of pounding TE bliss.

My penchant for TE remixes will surprise no one who follows the {CC blog.

They were simply marvels at grabbing tracks by the throat of their necks and turning them into momentous pounding trance classics.

It is another fine example and you are fully absorbed in the track for the full duration.

Some great Kylie-esque vocals and some tasty lyrics also to boot.

When I kiss your salty lips!

Rochelle - Mouth

(Skynet Vs Trouser Enthusiasts Mix)

Dolly can dance!

Love this remix sticking close to the priginal and retaining that raw beauty which cames from Dolly's great vocals, but making it dancefloor friendly.

Todd has produced some very fines remixes and this is certainly one of them.

Hard to believe this track is now well over 50 years old and came out in 1973, the remix is from 2017.

Dolly Parton – Jolene

(Todd Terje Mix)

Definitely a contender!

 Always loved this track.

It was featured on a Cream Summer anthems CD from 1997 which I played to death at the time as it was a great mix of summer tracks.

It still sounds great and has some great lyrics as well as strong vocals and a really great summer vibe.

Go on be a contender!

Reverend & the Makers —

Heavyweight Champion of the World

(Club)

All stand up!

Back in the day when everything seemed simple and anything seemed possible, even the tracks were simple and straightforward.

Here's a listen old skool belter from 1992 which couldn't be simpler and pretty much uses the same piano riff throughout.

Still a little cracker though and cheesy lyrics aside remains a solid little track.

Oooh what an intro!

The intro to this track is so amazing that it really has nowhere to go from there and the rest of the track somewhat disappoints as a bit of cheesy rave track, but that intro is just heavenly and hence well worth it.

If ever a track needed a remix, because some of the piano in this is absolutely top notch.

Love the bit that slows down and then kicks back into life also.

Old skool never dies.

Enjoy!

Rainbow Zone - Vol 1 - The Rainbow Walls

(DJ Roy Silver's "Only Smarties Have The Answer" Mix)

I feel so extraordinary!!!

One of Oakey's finest remixes and an iconic New Order track.

It's hard to explain the influence New Order had on modern day music as they were so immense and were a huge part of my musical diet as a youngster.

Great to see that they are still going strong.

I saw them in concert at Wythenshawe in Manchester last year and they were still absolutely on it!

Respect!

About the track, just genius and Oakey adds some sublime touches of piano to give it that dancefloor vibe.

Two class acts!

Unsung hero!

Superb trance classic from 1999 and one that totally slipped under the radar.

This track had it all for me and was totally underrated and not that widely played.

Still sounds amazing over 25 years later and should be up there with the true trance classics.

Love the build in this and those beautifully subtle piano chords.

Classic trance as we know and love.

Enjoy!

Old vs New?

Which is best?

Original or new?

The original was a big track for us when we were out but I remember more from 1992 than 1991.

It had that hypnotic groove which was really mesmerising and great to dance to.

The remixed version from 2024 adds some extra piano and in my opinion trumps the original, although all my memories are attached to the original.

Both great tracks and will stand the test of time.

Masters of their trade!

When two trance guru's co-lab you know you are going to get something special.

Ferry Corsten and Tiësto working together under their Gouryella alias creating some of the standout tracks of that great trance era in the early 2000s.

This was a true classic which still sounds great 25 years on.

A monster of a track.

 Gouryella - Tenshi

(Original Mix)

Happy hours, golden showers!

Surprised I've not posted this before now.

A quality pop track given some serious remix work.

Danny T produced some real work of arts and this is right up there with them.

Shirely Manson was a great vocalist and had such presence.

The lyrics are also fantastic.

Happy hours, golden showers!

Just such a great track - all 11 mins plus of it!

Garbage - When I Grow Up

(Danny Tenaglia Club remix)

I'll always be his be his lady!

Another fantastic Freemason's production (aren't they all!), this ones from 2006.

I've run out of superlatives to describe the work of James Wiltshire and his greatest moments are woven throughout the PCC blog.

Here they use their amazing production skills to turn a very average track into a dancefloor banger.

Their ability to use one or two simple hooks throughout the track and overlay great piano was a key trademark and is a key feature here.

Heather Headley - In My Mind

(Freemasons Vocal Club Mix)

Looking out for love?

Fantastic classic Fleetwood Mac track made extra special by a superb remix by the trailblazer that was Arthur Baker.

I first heard this track via the world famous Chris & James Essential Mix from 1993 which still stands the test of time as the greatest mixset I've ever heard.

I've really grown to love Fleetwood Mac over the years and this track is pure heaven and just has everything.

The piano is to die for also.

Looking out for love?

Fleetwood Mac - Big Love

(A Arthur Baker Extended Remix)

Til' you know I love you!

Another imperious remix by the legend that is E-Smoove aka Eric Miller.

The quality and consistency of his remixes were so good I'd put him righty up there in the same bracket as Frankie and Morales - no higher praise is possible.

Here he uses his tried and tested formaula to turn an average track into a dancefloor monster.

This ones from 1995 and should've been bigger than it was.

You can enjoy now regardless.

For Real - You Don't Know Nothin'

(E-Smoove's Fever Mix)

Low down son of a gun!

This track has it all.

Great lyrics, gorgeous vocals by Rochelle Fleming, all those great disco instruments and a great remix by DT.

The original track dates back to 1979, but this remix is from 1993.

Classy all round!

First Choice - Double Cross

Fancy some more old skool?

An absolute belting old skool classic from 1991.

It appears to be jump bumbling along and then in comes the piano break and we are in heaven.

Another Nick Hussey production I understand.

Great tracks stand the test of time and this one certainly does.

DJ Roy Silver - Emotion

Don't let me go!

House music perfection from Mr Morales and some great vocals from Janice Robinson.

This is Morales at his most Frankie-esque with some delightful piano guided this track throughout.

11 minutes of unadulterated quality classic house.

Just heavenly.

Don't let me go!

David Morales, Janice Robinson - Father

(David Morales Classic Epic Mix)

Never gonna fall for....

Bowie was without doubt one of the most influential pop artists of his generation and thoroughly deserved his legend status R.I.P.

Not many of his tracks were that dancefloor friendly though.

How Sgt Slick has a great knack of converting great pop songs into great club tracks with some gentle tweaking of the knobs, whilst always respecting the original track.

Here is just brings the piano, sax and percussion to the fore with great effect.

Bowie reborn for the dancefloor.

Nice.

David Bowie - Modern Love

(Sgt Slick Multitrack ReCut)

Real love.....tonight!

Latest from PDM and another one right on the mark.

A little more laid back than usual PDM tracks, but very catchy and definitely a grower.

Glorious vocals by Alison Goldfrapp.

Enjoy.

Purple Disco Machine & Alison Goldfrapp - Dream Machine

(Extended Version)

TE sublime yet again!

What I love about TE is that their remixes are always so consistently good.

Whatever track they selected to remix they transformed it into an absolute banger, no fail.

This takes a pretty average track and sprinkle some of the TE magic and it's right there once again.

Those guys were hugely underrated, but never on the PCC blog.

Rock on!

Alexia - The Music I Like

(Trouser Enthusiasts' Dead Glam Mix)

The legend still has it!

Heard this recently from a mixset from Oakey a few months back and great to hear that the legend is still at it and selecting top quality material.

This has lots of female chanting and builds in slow but powerful manner and then really kicks some.

It was for me the highlight of his set and a track which hits deep.

Love the bit when the synths really explode.

Rock on Oakey!

Argy & Goom Gum - Pantheon

(Extended Mix)
