Ain't it shocking what love can do?

Staying on the Whitney vibe and why not!

When 2 legends collide you're bound to get something special and this is.

The remix and production genius of Mr Morales and the amazing vocals courtesy of Ms. Houston creates house music heaven and a true masterpiece.

It's long, very long at 11 mins plus, but it's never boring and keeps you encapsulated from start to finish taking you on a real journey.

It's making me all emotional!

This love is strong!

Whitney's legendary status was underpinned by the recognition that she was one of best vocalists of our generation.

Junior's status was sometimes tainted by his desire to chase the money, which resulted in more quantity than quality and many remixes which were a bit bland and same-ish.

This however, is one of his better ones, which combines with Whitney's amazing vocals produces a cracking club track. Just the way we like them.

It's fast paced, energetic and very effective.

Chaka vs. Whitney

Two fantastic vocal divas and two fantastic tracks.

The original Chaka version was from 1974, with this remix from 1978.

The Whitney version has a superb remix by C&C and came out in 1993.

Which is best?

IMHO they are both great, but I think the Whitney version just edges it, mainly courtesy of the great C&C remix and as good as Chaka's vocals are, nobody can out-sing Whitney!

It would take an eternity to break us!

Quite possibly my favourite Whitney track.

Her vocals were just phenomenal, one of the greatest ever, RIP beautiful lady!

This is a truly fantastic remix by JP and uses Whitney's amazing vocals to perfection.

Coming in at over 13 minutes long, there is never a second that isn't compelling and engaging, with fantastic tempo and key changes throughout.

That clever little use of a touch of Roland TB 303 acid(ish) baseline is a masterstroke also.

Just an incredible track that will always be totally timeless.

Enjoy!

The greatest love of all - Great dance music aka PCCs!!

Great dance music comes in all shapes and sizes and this blog has always posted a huge variety of the finest dance tracks to appear on dance floors across the world.
This has taken in house, balearic, trance, progressive, handbag house, disco and many other forms.
Always coupled in this has been an element of the cheesier side of dance music, which I've always unashamedly posted. Most notably those tracks which although slightly overground and cheesy for the purist amongst you, but are  none the less bonafide PCCs, that truly rocked clubland.
Here's just one such track.
A big thanks to Simon for sharing this. It is a huge sing-along-anthem and I'm informed went down a storm in Manchester's finest clubs.
The remix is by Peter Rauhofer (aka Club 69) who remixed many great tracks and sadly passed away this week. R.I.P.
Whitney's vocals sound amazing on this - she's also sadly missed.
Let's celebrate their respective talents!
Enjoy!!

"Oh I Wanna Dance With Somebody"!!!!!

Right on Whitney.
Here's a couple of absolute belters for you all, with thanks to the wonderful Whitney, her of the amazing vocal talents.
First up is a really great piano laden monster from P.C.P. that absolutely rocks, featuring Whitney's fine vocals. The intro is absolutely lush - pure excellence!!
The overall track is a real piano stomper - Huge!!!
Next up is a huge Sasha mash up before mash up's even existed. He used to mix the two tracks Whitney's acappella of I Wanna Dance With Somebody over the top of Leftfield's Not Forgotten to fantastic effect. In those days Sasha was the God, there was no one to touch him.
Two quality PCCs for you to enjoy people!!

Whitney vs. Leftfield - Not Forgotten

Here is a Monster Mash Up!!

Now I'm not normally a fan of mash ups, but if they are done well as in this case, then so be it.
This one is different class!! It keeps the classic BiR piano track in tact, but adds Whitney's fantastic vocals. "Peace and Harmony" meets "Love Will Save The Day"
Whoever created this one, certainly pulled it off.
"What you need's, a little Peace and Harmony"
Check this one out!!
