I can't believe I've not posted this track until now.
It totally epitomises the Goa Trance sound which Oakey created in the mid/late 90's and was a key feature of his legendary Goa Mix.
This caused serious dancefloor devastation when dropped.
Cracking remix by Man With No Name - he was certainly on it back then.
Just massive in every instance.
Enjoy!!
Man With No Name's much-anticipated follow up to the chart-busting 'Floor Essence' was released at the very end of 1995, and, in a possible first for Perfecto Fluoro, constituted a vocal number. Still sounding as magnificent as it did during the Essential Mix on new year's eve that selfsame year, 'Paint A Picture' embodies the Goa-influenced psychedelia of the era as similarly exemplified by the likes of Virus and The Overlords. It was pleasing to see some of MWNN's back catalogue tastefully remixed late last year, and hopefully various other reworked Perfecto numbers will ensue.
Man With No Name Featuring Hannah - Paint A Picture (Vocal Mix)
Another massive piece of Oakey trance!!!
This ones a bit harder and a bit faster, but no less fantastic.
Another banging track from Martin Freeland.
This is pumping, driving trance at it's very best.
This one has lots of riffs and hooks and is very dramatic, it was an amazing track on the dancefloor.
Again it was abasolutely hammered by Oakey and rightly so, as it is a totally massive track.
Forget a lot of the modern trance which is (mostly) a bit lame and lacks passion.
This is the real deal!!
Viva la trance (when it's this good!!!).
Moving straight from classic house to pounding trance.
I've really neglected posting a lot of the great trance tracks from the 1995 to 2000 era - when Oakey was absolutely tearing up the dancefloors with his Goa Trance.
Hence, there'll be a lot more of this to come in future posts.
This is where clubbing was really at back in 1995 (for me nights at Cream in the courtyard - as pictured were absolutely superb).
Sasha had gone all boring and played (IMHO) self indulgent long, dull trance tracks with no energy and passion.
House music was taking a bit of a dip in that period, but Oakey was leading the way with this new generation of trance. It was exciting, atmospheric, energetic and it totally rocked the dancefloor.
This track totally epitomises the sound of that era.
Man With No Name (Martin Freeland) produced some absolutely top notch trance tracks, hence more to come from them in the future.
It is classic Goa Trance - thumping, pumping and totally encapsulating.
I hope you enjoy!!
