I've got that sweet, Ecstasy feeling!

This is a blast from the past.

I haven't heard this for ages, but it still sounds great.

Inner City were always a safe bet for a great track.

The Altern 8 remix is very 1991 and captures that great era so well.

Lots of chunky piano (although a few too many ravey bits, which sound very dated now!)

Get on it!

When you get that good life feeling, no one can take it away!

Amazing as it was when the original version of Good Life first burst on the scene in 1988, it has to be one of the most overplayed records and hence has lost some of it's original appeal.

However, this superb WOW remix from 1999 brings it back to (good) life!

Using the classic WOW laid back floaty trance vibe, it takes it to another level of brilliance, yet still retains the old charm of the original.

Just how remixes should be.

Enjoy!

Whatca Gonna Do - just dance!

Did Inner City ever produce a duff track?

Not in my opinion.

This is another classic, courtesy of a fantastic remix by the two house legends that are Frankie and Morales.

Just a fantastic piece of classic house music from 1989.

Enjoy!

God bless the world!

Inner City were one of the few dance groups who  made high quality tracks on a consistent basis.

The genius of Kevin Saunderson and the fantastic vocals of Paris Grey were a combination only matched by the likes of M-People.

Here's another great track from Inner City.

Not there best known, but still top notch.

Posted twice, cos' it's just great!

I first posted this track back in 2009 and felt it worthy of re-post, as it is so damn good.
I heard it again the other day after not listening to it for ages.
It still touched all the right buttons.
The piano is still spine tingling.
Pure Kevin Saunderson genius!
Huge goosebump moments on 5.17 - one of the great piano breakdown moments!
"Let the music lift you up"
Indeed!

Happy Christmas 2013!!

Happy Christmas to one and all.
Here's giving you a little Christmas present.
One of my all time favourite tracks which I never thought could be remixed anywhere near as good as the original.
There have been loads of attempts to remix this track, many of them awful.
This one though is delicious.
Enjoy to the max and have a great Christmas!!
And remember
"Cause we are going to be, forever you and me"
"You will always keep me flying high in the sky, love"

Serial Killer

'Your Love' marked Inner City's return from something of a hiatus, their previous release being the rather more underground 'Ahnongay'.
'Your Love' was co-produced by Serial Diva, who stamp their highly distinct mark on proceedings; the monumental build up yielding eventually to some rhapsodical piano complemented of course by the silky vocals of Paris Grey and Ann Saunderson.
This is my favourite Inner City track, it was massive at the end of '95 and enhanced the profile of Serial Diva as a production force to be reckoned with.

Who wants another house classic??

Yeah course you do. A fantastic house track and fantastic remix from Mr Park himself.
Inner City were probably the best and most consistent producers of great house music through the late 80's and early 90's. Kevin Saunderson was one of the true pioneers of house music and Paris Grey was a great vocalist.
I've already posted several of their tracks on this blog. This one is everything you'd expect from Inner City - great vocals, pure quality house music and Mr Park then adds the fantastic piano chords to raise the bar even further.
Top drawer house music matey - you'd better believe it!!

Hallelujah - it's Friday night!!!

Evening all and welcome to the weekend.
Apologies for the lack of activity on the blog this week, but I've been away for a few days.
Hallelujah -its now the weekend and what better to kick it off, then with a huge club classic from on of the most prominent and consistently good dance acts of the late 80's and 90's - Inner City - the combination of the musical genius of Kevin Saunderson (pictured) and the superb vocals of Paris Grey.
This ones another corker and a huge PCC fave. I used to listen to this time and again on an old DJ mix tape back in 1992 - however that version was pitched up to go with the track it was being mixed into.
Then when I listen to this version it seems a little slow. Still all the same a great track and a true PCC, thanks to a superb Leftfield remix.
Let's hear you sing " Hallelu, Hallelu-jah!!!

Gonna Lift You Up!!! - You Bet!!!

This is a fairly well known track (commercialised by Loveland) and one which was widely played out in clubs.
However, in my opinion this is by far the best version and remix of this track, which turns it into a huge piano epic. It's that bit when the piano kicks in on the key change - awesome.
Turn it up loud.
This track really rocked the dancefloors and brings back some excellent memories of nights at Cream.
This is sure to lift you up!!
Big shout to Mark S for providing this, his blog is top notch, so give it a visit;

"Need some, We need some, Need some We need some"

My favourite Inner City track, an absolute classic.
It brings back fantastic memories of dancing on the bar at Leeds Warehouse.
Rockin'!!!
