It's no good? Well actually it is; very good!

Depeche are one of the great bands of the modern era - fact, but there isn't too much of their music which truly translated across onto the dancefloors of the best clubs.

However, this is a real exception thank you to some amazing production by Brian Transeau.

BT was heralded as almost the saviour of dance music (at least in Sasha's eyes), but although some of his tracks were outstanding; many weren't.

This one however, is in the outstanding bracket and is a wonderful progressive journey that keeps you encapsulated from start to finish.

The Depeche vocals are superb throughout as you'd expect.

Hauntingly beautiful!!!

Another sensational track.
Boy I'm spoiling you today!!
This is a truly amazing track.
I always thought BT was bit over rated and over hyped, but this is awesome.
Just simply love it!!

In your dreams!!!!!

Another huge favourite of mine from back in the day.
This was remixed in 1995 and was a massive club hit on all the nations best dance floors.
A cover of the classic Fleetwood Mac original (from 1977 - which still sounds great).
Wild Colour were another alias for Oakey and Steve Osbourne, which explains why the track was so good.
There were lots of mixes of this one, but two really stood out for me.
The Perfecto mix was probably the most widely played out in clubs, but it is the BT mix that does it for me.
All 11 mins 45 secs of it. It takes you on a great journey with lots of superb piano chords and great use of the vocals.
Immense indeed.
Dreams do come true - believe it!!!

"It's Not Over Yet"!!! - Just a reminder to England - Keep The Faith!!!

This track is dedicated to the England team and more importantly all us hard suffering fans out there.
Yes, their performance against Algeria last night was abysmal, but as the track says "It's Not OverYet".
Let's try and keep the faith. We can beat Slovenia - I'm sure!! (Ever the optimist).
About the track well it's one of those that everybody absolutely loved. I'd stick my neck out and say it was probably the biggest track of 1993/94.
It was one of those played out in every club by virtually every DJ and it always brought the roof down.
Everytime you heard it, the clubs would go crazy, I have particularly great memories of this at Cream, Wobble, Leeds Corn Exchange nites, Back To Basics, Up Yer Ronson and probably loads more nights I've long forgotten about.
There were loads of different mixes done and here's a selection.
The Perfecto mix was the big one which was played most, but the BT and Dancing Divas mixes are also very good.
Grace were of course the face of the legendary Paul Oakenfold and they produced some great tracks.
On a final note about the football, just remember folks - Keep the faith, as the track says;
"It's not over, not over, not over, not over yet"
Come on England - you can do it!!

It's not quite June, but this is flaming hot!!!

Happy Easter folks, I hoped you've all had a good one and haven't over indulged (on the Easter Eggs that is - lol!!).
It's been a while since I posted a track so here I give you a real quality classic.
A lot of people absolutely raved about Brian Transeau when he first came onto the UK club scene back in 1993. I remember hearing a quote from Sasha stating that he was bored of DJing and was thinking of packing it in, then BT came along and inspired him.
In my humble opinion although BT was clearly a musician and producer of very high repute I always found most of his tracks a little "over produced" a bit self indulgent and not really that dancefloor friendly (well not to my tastes at least!!).
However, there was no mistaking his talent and he did produce some fantastic tracks and some excellent remixes.
This was IMHO one of his very best, again not that dancefloor friendly, but a real musical journey.
Let me know your thoughts!!
P.S. The picture is a famous painting from Frederick Leighton called Flaming June, but you probably already knew that??
