Nowhere to slide!

Fluke made some quality tracks and remixes.

This is a fabulous remix by JR, in his typical stylee.

This one's from 1993.

Quality track.

Completely Bjangin'

The fairly unremarkable (in my opinion) 'Bjango' was produced by Fluke, and released on Hi Life in October 1996. Way Out West transform an otherwise ploddy production into a dancefloor destroyer by employing their trademark remix skills to optimum impact. This has to be up there with the best Way Out West reworks, and that really is saying something as almost all of their remix output between 1994 and 1998 (Saint Etienne, Hannah Jones, Bel Canto, Liquid, The Tabernacle ad nauseum) were immeasurably immense. The WOW mix of 'Bjango' has certainly stood the test of time, sounding as fresh and innovative today as it some fifteen years since.

She's like a rainbow!!!

Another big fave of mine.
World of Twist were set to be the next big thing in the 90's but never quite achieved the initial hype.
This was and still remains a real PCC though.
It's a cover of the classic Stones track and is given a  great remix by Fluke, who were right on the money at that time in 1992.
The track is sort of indie dance with a twist, its pretty laid back, but was very effective when dropped in a club at the right time.
All in all a great track, which still sounds superb today.
Enjoy!!

"How are feeling, it's a beautiful morning???"

I hope you all like this one - as it certainly looks like a beautiful morning outside and what better way to start it off with then listening to this track.
The track is one of the most uplifting you could wish for - with some beautiful vocals.
It just has a really sensational feel about it, full of atmosphere, full of hope, very inspiring and most definitely very uplifting.
Whether in the car or in the house turn it up loud, open those windows and feel the inspiration.
It is indeed a beautful morning!!!
I've included 2 mixes which are both very good, although I think that the BBG mix slightly edges it, as it is a bit more instant and a bit more vocally, with some lovely piano. The Fluke mix is slightly more floaty, dreamy, but stll very good.
Enjoy - because if you don't like this one I'll be shocked!!

"Philly" the quality, this is no "Fluke!!!"

Apologies for the crap gag, but enough about the humour, this track is of the very highest quality.
As with all tracks posted on the blog, quality is the fundamental issue and here I present to you one of my all time favourite tracks. Quite why I didn't list this in my all time Top 30 is beyond me, a serious oversight on my behalf.
About the track, well it's simply quite awesome, dating back to 1990 it was well before it's time, in terms of feel and the epic journey which it takes you on.
Very few tracks in the early 90's were quite as epic as this, it really does take you on a full journey with many tempo changes and peaks.
Give it a couple of listens as it's one that grows on you as opposed to being truly instant, but after a few listens you'll be truly hooked.
"Epic" is the only word to fully describe it.
Enjoy!!!
