Chaka vs. Whitney

Two fantastic vocal divas and two fantastic tracks.

The original Chaka version was from 1974, with this remix from 1978.

The Whitney version has a superb remix by C&C and came out in 1993.

Which is best? 

IMHO they are both great, but I think the Whitney version just edges it, mainly courtesy of the great C&C remix and as good as Chaka's vocals are, nobody can out-sing Whitney!

This is one of Frankie Knuckles all time favourite tracks.
What better compliment could a track have.
The original first came out in 1980, but it is the C&C remix that I like best.
It is absolutely piano-licious - have listen and you'll know what I mean.
C&C produced some wonderful remixes and this is up there with their best.

Beautiful, Beautiful House Music!!

There's been some fantastic female singers on house tracks and none greater than Chaka Khan, she's right up ther with Loletta Holloway, Martha Wash, Jocelyn Brown - all absolute legends.

You put their vocal performance with a great house track and you can only get a club classic.

This one is an absolute stomper, full of huge piano - a really "infectious" club track.

Another big Chris and James track as well.
