Pow, passion!

Blondie's tracks when remixed are on another level which is just testament to her amazing talent.

Whilst several have been posted on the PCC blog, this is one which is well worthy of a post.

Not one of Blondie's most popular tracks but still a great track all the same.

Two great remixes here.

I think the Burger Queen remix just pips it for me, as the Diddy remix although very good is pretty similar to their fabulous Atomic remix.

Love the "Pow-passion"

"Baby I would like to go out tonight"

I've always loved Blondie and "Parallel Lines" was one of the first albums I ever bought, even before I reached double digits.

There's not too much of the original song in this remix, so probably not one for the purists.

That aside it is a thumping good piano banging remix from Craig Burger Queen.

As DH states "Baby I would like to go out tonight"

Who needs it?

Well I most certainly need some of this.
It's been posted on the PCC blog some time ago, but that was by a guest poster, so I thought I'd post myself and add a bit of commentary.
The track itself is sensational and was a massive track for Oakey in the 90's and a regular feature of his epic sets, including many an Essential Mix.
It is a fantastic remix by Danny Tengalia, possibly his finest hour.
The track is just one long journey of sensational pleasure, floating along beautifully with Debbie Harry's luscious vocals and some very catchy lyrics.
"Some days are all Mondays.
Sort of time on ice.
It seems like jet planes sit on runways under clear blue skies.
Who needs it?

Nothing is real but the girl.
Nothing is real but me.

Money goes to money in a figure eight; around me.
Money where will love be, when you liquidate, you're drowning.

Nothing is real but the girl, nothing is real but me.
Nothing is real but the girl, nothing is real but me.

Wind down.
Put your mind down like your missing school.
I'll teach you to find out while your dying in your living room how much you need me.

Nothing is real but the girl, nothing is real but me.
Nothing is real but the girl, nothing is real but me.

Nothing is real but the girl, nothing is real but me.
Nothing is real but the girl, nothing is real but me."

A truly sensational track!
Enjoy!

Are you in rapture?

There are hundreds of Blondie remixes and many are pretty naff, but certainly not this one.
Totally love this, great job by K-Klass, who manage to keep all the elements of the original, but inject some great piano.
I grew up on Blondie tracks and the rap in this is still brilliant and so much better than the current day tosh!!
Big up Debbie H.

Put Your Mind Down

Here is an underrated classic of the highest possible caliber. The lesser-known follow up to 'Maria', 'Nothing Is Real But the Girl' was released at some point in 1999. Danny Tenaglia was commissioned to craft the club-oriented rework, an undertaking he fulfills with some aplomb. DT's version is nothing short of spectacular, translating as a song in its own right, rather than just a remix. It is the work of pure genius, and it has everything - pathos, funk, euphoria, insight, inspiration - definitely and without a shadow of a doubt, a bona fide PCC.

Blondie rocks!!

Don't tell me this is cheesy as I don't want to hear it.
It brings back some great memories of Wobble in Birmingham.
Chris and James on the 1's and 2's.
Rockin!.
