Thinking of all the great songs which could be dropped at midnight tonight on NYE to bring in the New Year and there are few which could be as dramatic and effective as this.
Yes, I've posted it on the PCC blog before and it is undoubtedly one of the greatest house tracks of all time.
Everything about it is sheer perfection and Jamie's vocals are just heavenly as are the delightful female background vocals.
I can't let go!
It was also a huge Alfredo track, so here is another tribute to the legend who passed away recently.
R.I.P. to both Frankie and Alfredo - quite possibly the two most influential dance music pioneers to have ever touched our worlds and now re-united in heaven.
Respect and gratitude to you both and Happy New Year to one and all.
Frankie Knuckles featuring Jamie Principle - Your Love
I've held off posting these tracks for a long time, but I can wait no more.
Two of clublands most prominent and influential tracks ever made.
If I had to choose I'd say Frankie's - Your Love, just pips "You've Got The Love", largely down to the fantastic vocal performance from Jamie Principle - which is just wonderful.
I've included a few of mixes of each track as there are so many great remixes to choose from, but these are my preferred ones.
All versions are just sublime and will always be true PCC's.

Now, as followers of the blog will know I'm not a big fan of male vocalists, however Jamie Principle is a big exception, he has a stunningly haunting vocal talent, that just gets you right there!
Some of the tracks and music he put out in the early days of house were outstanding and so good they have totally stood the test of time and still sound great today.
This one is now 25 years old and it still sounds brilliant.
Big respect to Steve "Silk" also for a cracking track, but it's Jamie's vocals that make it.

Leaving you with yet another fave of mine.
This is raw house music at it's very best.
This dates back to 1987 and still sounds absolutely superb.
I'm mentioned many times on this blog, that I'm not a huge fan of male vocals, but there are exceptions and Jamie Principle is certainly one of those.
The track has an amazing disco house groove, very infectious and incredibly catchy!!
If you ain't feeling this, then you ain't got no soul!!!
Now this is one of my favourite old house classics.
It is an absolute fantastic track and hard to believe it is now 25 years old.
It still feels so unbelievably powerful.
Now I know we've talked about me not being a big fan of male vocals, but Jamie Principle is another exception - the vocals in this are amazing.
It was produced by Frankie Knuckles and hence probably one of the reasons it's so bloody good.
House music this good will never die!!
"Angelic" house music - beautiful!!
I love the really camp "fake" laugh sample as well - genius!!
Couldn't resist the picture of Jo Lo - a true angel from above!!!
I am finishing this weekend off with one of the tunes which got me into house music. I heard it played on a barge going up and down the Thames all night, way way back in 1987. I have no idea who the DJ was, but he was playing music like I had never heard before. Needless to say I was hooked. This was one of the tunes played that night. It was also one of the first dance tracks I got from Eastern Bloc in Manchester. It is a simple but stunning track - great vocals by Jamie Principle and given that special Frankie Knuckles touch of magic.
