Dear Fellow Dance Music Lovers,
This blog brings you the best in Dance Music and Club Classics; from early 87 (back in the daze) through to the present day.
For all those who rocked it all night until the early hours, to those that lived for clubbing and couldn't wait for the weekend to arrive. Enjoy and leave any comments on the blog or contact direct by email at pureclubclassics@live.co.uk
I've posted this many times before, quite simply because it is the greatest dance track ever made, bar none.
It was always huge on New Years Eve and if there are any budding DJ's out there wondering what to play tonight as your "Killer Midnight tune" then look no further.
I never tire of hearing this, it is truly immense.
Whatever you are doing tonight have a good one and here's wishing you a great New Year.
All the best from PCC!!
As the biggest night of the year approaches I'm sure we're all feeling that tingle of anticipation as we await the fantastic delights of New Years Eve.
I'm sure we could all tell some fantastic tales and memories of great nights gone before.
This has been posted on the blog a few times before, but as it is my all time favourite track and was always massive on NYE and quite often played at 12.00am midnight, here it is again.
They don't come any better.
There's also no password - as that Christmas spirit continues!!
Enjoy!!
However, on this NYE I leave you with a further special post dedicated to one of my fellow bloggers and one of the best blogs out there http://acidted.wordpress.com/
Known affectionately as Acid Ted - (the term given to those who weren't really in the know when Acid House kicked off, but somewhat jumped on the bandwagon). This is a special request so please dig deep and provide your support.
Have a great NYE, the posts will keep coming in 2011.
Best regards, PCC
Now over to Acid Ted;
EXCLUSIVE ERROR OPERATOR MIX Happy New Year to you. To get the new year off to a cracking start, I’m offering you the chance to get an exclusive mix from the marvellous but mysterious Error Operator. This mix is not available anywhere else. All you have to do is make a small donation to charity. Email me with the reply and I’ll send you the mix. It’s that simple. You wil want this mix. It starts with the brilliant but brooding “Moth” by Burial and Four Tet before going on to mixes of Foals and Burial himself. It even has some Tinie Tempah bfore ending with James Blake and ultimately coming a full circle to a remix of Four Tet. This is a quiet evening with a bottle of fine red. ACID TED MIX by Error Operator 1. Burial & Four Tet – Moth 2. Foals – Spanish Sahara (Mount Kimbie Remix) 3. Burial – Archangel (Boy 8-Bit Remix) 4. Gold Panda – Snow & Taxis (Throwing Snow Remix) 5. Tinie Tempah – Pass Out (SBTRKT Remix) 6. Andreya Triana – A Town Called Obsolete (Mount Kimbie Remix) 7. Break 8. Joy Orbison – Hyph Mongo 9. James Blake – CMYK 10. Four Tet – Love Cry (Joy Orbison Remix) I’d like others to benefit from the time that Error Operator has put in. In particular, to raise money for research on brain tumours in children. Brain tumours are the commonest solid tumours in children in the UK and USA. More children now die from a brain tumour than any other childhood cancer. If you want a copy of the mix, here’s how to donate: TO DONATE: Give directly to the Samantha Dickson Brain Tumour Trust (UK) by donating here or Children’s Brain Tumor Foundation (USA) here or to a children’s cancer charity in your own country. Once you have done so, you will get an emailed reply from them. Forward that email to me (acidtedblog@googlemail.com) and I will send you a link to the mix. Please, please donate. How much you donate is up to you (£5 = US$7 / EUR5). If you need to know why these charities are so important, see my story here or little Thomas’ story here. Finally, if any readers are bloggers themselves, could you please promote this mix on your sites. It’s in a good cause. Thank you. Email me with the link and I’ll send you a copy of the mix. And my sincere thanks and gratitude to Error Operator for making this appeal possible. http://twitter.com/erroropsmusic http://soundcloud.com/erroropsmusic http://www.facebook.com/erroropsmusic
Stay peeled folks, I've got a new feature which will be coming soon. I've going to be uploading my all time favourite Top 30 Club Classics. This will be posted shortly meanwhile, please find my favourite all time club track. I've posted it before on the blog, but this time I've upped a video and a montage through clubbing history from back in 1987 when it all kicked off through to the end of the 90's. The track is an absolute anthem of epic proportions, hearing it in a club just put you in another place. The look on peoples faces when it came on - Pure Ecstasy. Anyway I hope you like the track and the video and the forthcoming feature. As always keen to have your feedback. Get on it!! They don't come any better than this.
What do you think - is this the greatest club tune ever??
If I could pick one tune that epitomised the club scene from late 80's to early 90's when the scene was really at it's peak, then this tune would probably have to be it. It simply has so much emotion and feeling and is a true "pure club classsic" of the highest proportions. It always seemed to get played on New Years Eve, particularly because of the chimes/bells/piano coming in midway through the track. Truly anthemic, truly monstrous, tracks like this made clubbing so special. For those that haven't heard this track before - download, turn the speakers up high and feel the vibe. Top Choon!! Respect to DJ Neil H for sharing the link.
