I need you more and more!

Another masterpiece from the legend that is Paul Gotel.

This is a huge track and was great in clubs, with a superb sing-a-long chorus.

Piano heaven throughout.

Pure class, enjoy!

Such a feeling!!

I need you more and more!

Here's another chance for you to dance with me!

Sensational remix of an old skool classic.

Everyone will of course be familiar with the Shade of Rhythm classic, which has been posted on the PCC blog many years ago back in 2009.

This however, if a fantastic reworking my the maestro that is Paul Gotel working under his Ca$ino moniker.

It's a piano laden epic monstor, they type we come to expect from Mr Gotel.

10 and a half minutes in, it just goes up another level.

Absolutely top drawer!

Here's another chance for you to dance with me!

Oh yes indeedy!

Ok, go on then I couldn't resist another.

This is truly superb in trademark fashion it builds steady and then explodes into the most fantastic piano breakdown.

Another fantastic PG remix, this one from 1996.

More PG to come in the not too distant future.

Enjoy!

(P.G. Tips' Anthem Mix)

We're solitary baby, in a solitary world!

Ok, I feel I've at least gone some way to correcting the lack of PG remixes on the PCC blog.

Here is another stunner, this time from musical genius Dave Stewart wider known of course for this work in the Eurythmics.

Just love everything about this track from the laid back vocals to the superb Spanish guitar and of course the fantastic piano breaks.

"We're solitary baby, in a solitary world!"

Another belter from PG.

Hope you enjoy!

Dave Stewart - Secret

(Paul Gotel's Moriara Moondance)

One more time?

Staying on the PG vibe, here's another cracker.

This one from 1997 again turning a dull pop track into an epic dancefloor sensation.

A great proggy build up that keeps you fully engaged throughout right through to that crashing piano breakdown.

Excellent stuff once again.

Enjoy!

(Paul Gotel's Peaceful Warrior Mix)

When You Made The Mountain - you made me!

It really strikes me that I haven't got enough of PG's stuff on the blog, hence work to do.

He created some truly fantastic remixes, many being  epics laden with sumptuous piano.

This one is one in that very mould, transforming a dull pop track into a dancefloor sensation.

Love this, great vocals and a sensational remix.

Enjoy!

What are you fighting for?

One of the great things about dance music which we all loved and the industry hated, was that there were very few prominent bands, which meant the scene stayed relatively underground and influenced by the great DJ's, remixers and club promoters.

One of the few great bands who constantly produced top notch tracks during this period were Sunscreem, although often it was down to great remixes to turn them into dancefloor classics.

This is a quality track from 1992 with a great remix by Paul Gotel under his WHP pseudonym.

Enjoy!

Mr Velvetpants can be found every Sunday on http://www.reelhousefm.com/ 2-4pm or d/l the free app for smart phones.
So make sure you check him out, as I guarantee he'll be playing some top tunes and probably a few PCC gems chucked in there for good measure.

Down to Business

Kinane scored a clutch of club hits in the late nineties, including the gargantuan 'Heaven' - as remixed by Danny Tenaglia and Paul Gotel (a previous post), and the Lisa Marie Experience re-tweaked 'So Fine'. 'Business' was released on Coalition in 1998 featuring a slew of remixes, the pick of the bunch from Paul Gotel, whose epic excursion consists of a roof-raising trancer that foregrounds Kinane's snappy vocals and comes complete with a massive breakdown.

I wanna be the only one!!!

Absolutely massive remix by the man that is Paul Gotel.
He takes a very mediocre Eternal (post Louise) track and turns it into a huge club anthem.
There's also some great vocals by BeBe Winans.
But it's the PG remix which makes this track sensational.
That little ticking, clucking riff in the background and then the huge build up, the key changes and the great vocal delivery.
Awesome!!!
Enjoy!

You got that thing - called love!!!

It's been a while since we had a Paul Gotel remix, so here's a well overdue post!!
A really catchy remix, typical of PG with lots of great bouncy piano and some great vocals from Aaliyah.
All in all a really catchy little number.
This one dates back to 1995, but feels very much more recent than that.
They'll be plenty more to come from Mr Gotel in the future.
So stay tuned if you like big piano breakdowns!!

This one is pretty huge - hold on to your hats!!!

You've probably heard this track before, but this remix like lots of Paul Gotel's remixes is absolutely stunning.
It transforms an already good track into an absolute monster of epic proportions.
It has some really crisp production and pulls at all the right strings.
It has a great slow vocal intro and then it continually builds and then finally explodes, a bit BiR/T-empo in style.
A great remix of a really good track.
Enjoy!!

Everyone needs a little bit of Heaven!!!

Huge thanks to my old mate Antti for this one. Cheers buddy, it's one I've had lined up to post for some time.
Put simply it's another fantastic remix by that man Mr Paul Gotel. For all those of you out there who love their remixes BiR stylee then you'll love this one.
It's from 1998 and it takes you on a journey similar to the BiR remixes with lots of great breakdowns, peaks, some lush vocals, the whole track just has a great feel about it.
Nice one Mister!!!
Let's get on it - all those in favour say "Aye"!!!

Bring on some more Mr Gotel I hear you shout!!!

Well I don't want to over do it, but since the sheer quality of Paul Gotel's remix work was pointed out to me, I have to say that I've been blown away by some of the tracks he's tinkled with.
This is another epic, which has some amazing piano and is mixed with lovely vocals and some excellent changes in tempo.
In fact it is the most Brothers in Rhythm sounding (non BiR remix) I have ever heard.
Hence, very high praise indeed.
You will love this people, I'm certain. Pure quality from start to finish!!
I've also thrown in a good Dancing Divaz mix, but IMHO it doesn't touch the PG remix.

Shady - Pearls (Hallelujah)

Shady - Pearls (Hallelujah)
(Dancing Divaz Remix)

An old favourite given a huge Facelift!!

You will all now the original version of this track, as it's a very well know club favourite, but you are probably less familar with this remix which is simply stunning.
I only heard it for the first time the other day and hence a big shout out to Dateyboy for providing it.
It's another fantastic Paul Gotel remix (so I hope you like this one Antti).
I've also included the original which I'm sure you'll recollect even if you didn't know it by name.
This is the art of remixing at it's very best, take an old classic track and tramsforming it into an absolutely monstrous club anthem!!!
Simply huge!! Enjoy people!!

Ok time for some Paul Gotel to give us a brighter day!!!

To be honest Paul Gotel was not really a remixer I was that aware of. I never releated him to the PG Tips Anthems as in the Lena Fiagbe remixes and didn't associate him with Well Hung Parliament.
Well now he's fully on my radar and recognising the quality of some of his remixes, there will be plenty PG to come.
Let's kick off with a huge piano stomper. This is a really quality track, with some great vocals, but some even better piano. This is pretty huge, believe me. Pure Quality!!! It's one of those tracks that everytime you listen to it, it gets better!!
Again a big shout out to Antti - cheers for this one buddy, plenty more PG to come.
I hope you enjoy people!!

Aah the memories come flooding back!!

Here comes another Hacienda classic.
I used to love this one back in the day and it brings back some great memories of nights at the Hac dancing on that very floor and the stage behind it.
This was a typical Hacienda track with great vocals, great rhythm and some unforgettable piano breakdowns. Awesome.
Gotta get it right indeed!!
Enjoy!!
A big shout out to Antti for tracking this one down for me. Respect Fella!!!
