A complete and utter masterpiece from the legend that was Frankie and one that he regularly played in his sets.
The Directors Cut combo of Frankie and Eric Kupper produced some amazing tracks and remixes.
They were truly absolute masters of their craft.
This tracks takes a simple hook from an 80's disco track and loops it, combined with some great percussion and of course that wonderful signature Frankie piano.
Before his TV celebrity and fame, RuPaul had a few pretty decent house tracks.
This was probably the pick of them (although Supermodel was great also) courtesy of a great remix from Eric Kupper which was probably the one most played in clubs.
It sounds a bit dated now, but it always went down well on the dancefloor back in 1993.
Another fantastic track from the evergreen legend that is Diana, to think this first came out in 1976.
This Frankie remix is just perfection.
The tracks starts off slowly and is very laid back, but is oh so beautifully velvet and smooth, with some sublime piano, then half way through it increases tempo and becomes more housey.
Total Frankie genius - R.I.P - the true house legend!
I've also posted the Eric Kupper remix from 2020 which is more upbeat still and although not as good as Frankie's version is still very tasty.
I've held off posting these tracks for a long time, but I can wait no more.
Two of clublands most prominent and influential tracks ever made.
If I had to choose I'd say Frankie's - Your Love, just pips "You've Got The Love", largely down to the fantastic vocal performance from Jamie Principle - which is just wonderful.
I've included a few of mixes of each track as there are so many great remixes to choose from, but these are my preferred ones.
All versions are just sublime and will always be true PCC's.

Staying on the Frankie vibe, another delicious track which epitomises Frankie's style and his genius.
Totally love this track, absolutely massive.
Again another recent one and testament to the man's quality.
This is as good as anything he ever produced.
Simply stunning house music!!
Viva La Frankie!!!
Frankie Knuckles Presents Director's Cut featuring Inaya Day - Let's Stay Home (Director's Cut Club Classic Mix)
Yeah, of course you are.
Staying on the Frankie vibe and further endorsing my statement that the Great Man maintained his prolific nature of churning out absolute quality all throughout his long and illustrious music career.
This must have been one of the last things he produced before his untimely death.
It's an absolutely tops re-working of the old Donna Summer classic.
Loving it!!
Big shout out to Simon for passing this one my way.
Cheers fella!
Enjoy people!!
Donna Summer - Hot Stuff (Frankie Knuckles and Eric Kupper As Director's Cut Signature Mix)
There were lots of mixes, but this was by far the best.
This tune is absolutely class, it used to send the dancefloor crazy back in 1991.
Everything about the track is brilliant, the kicking house beat, the lyrics, the Robert Owens vocals, the backdrop riff, the tinkly piano.
It provides that contrast between dark and deep and uplifting and vibrant in equal measures.
It's just an awesome tune.
Fantastic production and remix work by Morales on one of his first remix projects and equally fantastic work on the keyboards by Eric Kupper providing that all essential piano.
A partnership which would go on to remix and recreate hundreds of dance classics.
In my mind this is the epitome of proper House music.
It's also another track which brings back some fantastic memories of lots of great clubbing nights.
