M-People were one of the very best club dance acts, pretty much every track was solid gold, with Heather's amazing vocal prowess and the Hac leg-end Mike Pickering behind the production, they were always right on the money.

I've posted the BiR remix of this previously which is sensational, but LuvDup remixes are always top notch and this is no different.

Possibly not quite as explosive as some of their very best, but nonetheless pretty fine with some great piano.

It was one night in heaven!!

Always loved this track and remember seeing M-People live and singing this in a club on my 21st birthday many moons ago, which was an amazing night that left some abiding memories.
Heather Small was tops and an amazing vocalist.
4 fantastic versions all of which provide something different.
I love them all.
The Master is probably the best known and probably my fave.
The Classic Mix is Morales at his finest sounding very Frankie Knuckles-esque - a la as the title suggests Classic House.
The Morales Club Mix is just one rocking piano vibe - huge!!
The Morales Tradegy Dub is similar to the Club Mix although as the title suggests dubbier with less vocals.
Stupendous!!!

"How Can I Love You More" indeed!!!

Now anyone who visits this blog regularly will know of my huge liking to the vocal talents of Ms Heather Small and the fantastic tracks created by Hacienda DJ legend Mike Pickering under his M-People guise.
Add some wonderful remixes to many of their tracks and you have dancefloor heaven.
Here are 2 of the finest examples of this.
Back in 1991 - M-People released "How Can I Love You More" and it was a great track dying for a good remix. Trouble was the remixes IMHO were dull and uninspriring and didn't bring a great track to life on the dancefloor. "Sasha's Master Mix" was dull and didn't really peak, but he then created the "Qat Mix" which took the track to another level.
It's taken a while to track a clean version of this down, but big thanks to Tom Ferguson from Galaxy FM and Wee Ste, who both provided the track on the same day, after I'd been searching for a clean version for ages.
The Qat remix is a real belter, it builds and then really explodes.
As an additional treat I've also included the "Jimmy Gomez 6am Remix", which is stunning. Very much in usual Jimmy G stylee, it builds and builds and is layered with some equisite piano, very impressive indeed.
Which version is best?? I'd probably say the Jimmy Gomez remix, but both tracks are very special.

Well folks the weathers been scorching in Blighty today.
So here I give you a superb summer track.
Almost anything with a bit of Spanish Guitar in seems to give a summer vibe, hence couple this with the fantastic vocal performance which we always get from Ms Small and you have a sure-fire PCC summer scorcher.

Let's start "Moving On Up"!!!

M People were probably the most consistent dance group in the 90's and one who managed to bridge the divide between commercial chart success whilst matinining that all important underground club credibility.

But then again when you combine the genius of Hacienda legend Mike Pickering with the amazing vocals of Heather Small, well you're bound to get something great!

Some of their tracks were awesome when remixed and several have already been posted on the blog.

You'll all know this track, but probably haven't heard this fantastic Roger Sanchez remix too often. It is a fantastic "barnstorming" piano driven monster. Top Class.

I've also posted the original version which was also a great club track, although slightly more commercial.

The man in my eyes can do no wrong. Here's another fantastic remix by that man Jimmy Gomez.

Takes a great M-People track and turns it into a club classic.

Another fine piece of music. Again amazing similarity to BiR type remixes (hence, shit hot!!).

Heather Small has the perfect vocals for club music and is certainly one of the finest singers of the last decade.
