I've always been a huge fan of club tracks that slow down, stop and then pick up the pace again, classics like, Slo Moshun's Bells of New York and Veracocha's - Carte Blanche are two great examples (both already posted on this blog). The main reason being in clubs they were simply devastating and used to send the dancefloor crazy.The Gareth Wyn remix of this track does exactly the same thing with some truly beautiful piano and an immense breakdown, with a superb key change and then the bit when the cello kicks it in just pure bliss. Truly awesome!!!
The actual original version of the track is also fantastic and is in my opinion the best thing that the uber-talented Ms. Knowles has ever produced.
I've also included the Above and Beyond (Catalyst) remix which is pretty good in a trance vibe.
Out of the 3 mixes - although not the danciest version I like the original version best, it is a truly beautiful track with some wonderful piano and an exquisite vocal performance by Beyonce.
